  • Really Transforms Your Dog!
Color: Black 1 Pack(TC01 Old Version)
This review is written 1 year after owning this dog training collar and I can tell you it is well worth the money and so much more! I have recommended this collar to friends/family/everyone who has had any kind of behavior or training issues at all-- many of these people have purchased the exact same one and rave about theirs, too! I have seen the difference it has made for their dogs. The reason I wanted a training collar was because we have a German Shepherd dog who was around 6-7mo old at the time (1yr 7mo now), and he was a monster in size. We knew he was going to be big as we saw both his parents, and he was already weighing in at 70lbs at that age. I was working with him constantly and he was picking up on training very well, but still very much a puppy. I had trained dogs in the past with very much success, but this one was, like I said, a monster. He's huge, I'm a little person. He was getting training time confused with playtime. He confused giving a treat for a good job with taking my whole arm in his mouth. Then we had a problem with him eating our chickens. He ate one at first. Then another a different day. Then he went on a massacre and killed 9 at one time. The collar wasn't to be used as punishment, but to teach him right from wrong. Training with this collar has been phenomenal. Because of the wildness of this beast and his size, we gave started on a titrating scale up (beeps, to buzzes, to shocks) but we ended up having to shock him pretty hard several times before he realized what the business end really meant. Then we had his attention. And things only got better from there. At that point we pretty much never used the shock again, unless he went for a chicken. We were able to stick with beeps a lot and an occasional buzz. Now this dog, who was a monster before, is AMAZING, and everyone is jealous of our dog and his great behavior! He stays with us and follows commands off a leash in public or when we are camping/around our house. While other dogs are acting crazy, ours is calm and will follow any command given or stay by our side. He has fell into his role as protector and walks my son down to the bus every morning and then comes back to the house, only after my son is safely on the bus. AND....he demands to be outside to lay and protect the chickens from stray dogs (yes stray dogs come into our yard) and he chases them away! We rarely use the remote anymore. He's an all around good dog in general and does this on his own. However, if he's acting out, that's when I look around his neck and notice, ah ha, someone has taken his collar off (for some unknown reason) and I go find it and put it back on. It's like a magic collar!! The picture above is the collar/remote after owning it for a year. And a picture of the beast! We live on a farm and this dog lives both inside and outside while we're not home. He protects the animals, flies through the woods, swims with his collar on...there's no telling what all kinds of muck it has been through. It has had all kinds of nasty smells on it before. But you can see they both hold up very well. My favorite features on the remote are the lock button- so you can put the remote in your pocket and not accidentally shock your dog. The ability to see on the remote how much charge is left on the dog's collar. And the charging cable for both of them are mini-USB so it's compatible with so many of our chargers already. I know a friend of ours bought the same brand but a different version (I guess?) and theirs has an on/off switch on the dog's collar. Ours does not, which may be a cool feature, but honestly, we leave the collar on 24/7 (and they take the collar off the dog) so I probably would not use that feature much anyway. ... show more

  • Glad I purchased this device.
Color: Black 1 Pack(TC01 Old Version)
The device came in on time, had it charge overnight for the morning test run. The instructions are a bit vague, I had to look under the question/answer section here to find some helpful info. I was skeptical and nervous purchasing this but Im glad I did. I do wish the remote was a a bit smaller, it can be bulky carrying and controlling a dog at the same time. I have 70lb bully rescue and this collar has been helping me control and train her along with positive reinforcement. Before she would lunge with full force at other dogs, humans and bikers. I am a short female so it doesn’t take much for her to knock me down (trust me). This collar does make her think twice. I like the 3 functions. The vibrations does nothing for her lol, she’ll completley ignore it. The beep beep noise gets her attention when there’s no dogs around and I need her to walk next to me and not all over the place. Now the shocking part. I do love the rubber covers that go over the prongs. It’s not metal to skin which gives me a sense of relief. I did test out each shock level on my hand. I thought it would be only right to experience what pain she might be inflicted on. When I turned it on and figured it out, I accidentally shocked myself on 99. That’s the level it is set on when I received it. I was not prepared for it. Through the searching part I mentioned earlier I figured out how to control the levels. So after feeling 99 I wasn’t as scared as much, sense I got it out of the way But I did feel it all the way to my knee caps lol. I’ve had to use the shock on her, it is a learning experience and you need to find a comfortable “medium”. For her 25 made her yelp and freak out and 22 really gets her to focus on me without the yelp. Under 22 the shock feeling is just a tingle. I was really against shock collars at first but since I rescued her I needed to be a responsible bully owner. I don’t like the lunging or barking and she does come off scary and I don’t want people to be afraid of her because she is really sweet. I did have to do my own research with books and videos on how to use the collar properly. She is not afraid of it, when I grab the collar she gets excited because that means we’re going for a walk. The charge does last a long time. Almost a month, mostly because I only have it on her when we go for walks. Again I do use this with positive reinforcement. Despite some of the struggles I went through at the beginning it gets 5 stars because it does the job. I also love the lock on the side. It prevents any accidental pushing of the buttons. ... show more
