Description

Upgrading vehicle's exhaust system is a great way to build horsepower, free up trapped torque, and improve upon restrictive factory systems. The larger pipes, low-restriction mufflers, and tuned resonators of a well-designed performance exhaust system can make a world of difference on your vehicle. The net result is lower auto exhaust backpressure, more horsepower, more torque, and a much better sound.

  • Helped A LOT
We had purchased a used and partial wrecked Tahoe off Craigslist’s. My brother found it and said I needed it. It’s been giving us fits, but I think we have finally made it brand new. This was hard for us to get in without a lift, but we did our best. It cut down on the rattling, that we couldn’t figure out. It actually runs a lot smoother. We have had no problems with it and it’s been several months now. It sure it a lot shinier than the other one. We did try to cheat and not have to make more work for ourselves, but it did come down to more than just sliding it in. We had to remove a bunch of other stuff on our Tahoe. But that was our fault. Don’t cheat thinking you can do it!! Just remove those pieces and Jack up the trans! Lol ... show more

  • Poor fit, main welds are good. Read my review.
Center section is too short, when tightening flanges to to the exhaust manifold it would pull apart even when I tightened the center clamp. Had to buy a reducer to make up the slack and I could have gone outside diameter on both sides or butt welded the two pipes. Also, spot welding on the heat shields came apart during shipping, poor pentetration on the weld. Factory pipe had built in bolts to connect the mid pipe but these just had through holes and bolts were not included. Flanges not as thick as original pipe. Plan all the short comings on these pipes to limit your trips to the auto parts store or welding shop😕 ... show more

  • Bolted up fine. Downstream sensor on passenger hitting the crossover frame.
Easy bolt on. Only problem was the passenger side rear sensor hole was next to the frame. Had to have the hole rewelded back a couple inches. Works great. 2002 tahoe 4x4.

  • Does what it needed to
does what it needs to do, it was a replacement for the cat's on an 04 Thao. i looked at the reviews and most never stated what they were putting it in so i could not judge if the issues they had were the same as what to look for. more so when it came to fitting, other then that it fit ok could be tighter and and a better bung placement but still did what i needed it for. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Update; several weeks later and the cats and exhaust is performing well. All about the review still applies. Still, you get what you pay for. Just cats at a muffler shop are going to be 350 each and as I’m sure anyone reading knows, you gotta have 2 most of the time. Well... it’s kinda hard to be mad considering this is about 1/4 the price of what my local muffler shops wanted to charge just for new cats but... 1) the fit could have been better. It comes in 2 pieces so you’ll want to just snug up the connections to the header and fight with it. Went on a 03 Tahoe z71. The cross pipe is about an inch too short so that’s going to leak. 2) man the install is a bear. Take time to spray down the bolts to the header with PB blaster or equivalent. DO NOT try and force them off with an impact. You’ll round off the head. Take your time and use a 3/8 breaker bar, a wobble or universal joint and extensions to get them off. Transmission support cross member has to come down unless you cut out the exhaust, but even if you do, it has to come down to install. 3) big problem I had is the connection to the muffler is either backward or just wrong. Kit comes with a gasket but it’s a ball type connection not requiring a gasket from factory. Maybe it works on other models. Didn’t on my Tahoe. Overall, I saved some money. I ended up buying a new muffler from a local shop so they cut off the connected from the kit going to the stock muffler and straight welded on a new muffler. The cats work. No check engine lights after install. If I had to do it again, I’d probably just buy some universal cats and have a muffler shop cut and weld them in. You get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Perfect fit save lots of money
Absolutely perfect. This fit on a 2005 with a 4.3 L. This was a bolt-on with no problems. What a great deal you couldn't get this anywhere for close to the price. Even just to weld in 2 converters was $500 or more and I am in the business. Just buy this and bolt-on and you are good to go. What an amazing product and value. ... show more
