  • 6k miles, so good so far!
Style: 2003-2007 Accord 2.4L
So I thought I would wait until I logged some miles before I wrote a review. I have a 03 Honda Accord that had 154k miles on it. It's started to burn oil, about 1 qt every 1k miles a while ago. The original CC finally failed and then I bought a Walker that was CARB compliant. Failed after 3k miles. Piece of junk and cost $400. So I bought this one which IS NOT CARB compliant but luckily I'm not required to use one where I live. So 6k miles later, and the car runs great, no check engine lights. Just did a 3k mile road trip with no issues. I know the oil burn will eventually clog it so I bought another one so I can just swap it out and maybe clean the other one. The build quality is good and it fit no problem. So for the $ you just can't beat it. BTW if you have a car that originally didn't have CARB compliant Catalytic Converter I would not put one on it. It's my opinion that the car is not designed for that type of CC and it will eventually fail and run poorly. So if you can get away without having to install one (sorry CA) I would do so. ... show more

  • Great and perfect fit!
Style: 2003-2007 Accord 2.4L
Perfect fit for my 2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe and the P0420 code that I had is gone. Great product. Thank you so much.

  • Decent quality. Great buy!
Style: 1998-2002 Accord 2.3L
Order arrived on time. Product came with all the installation hardware (bolts and gasket) included, exactly as showing in the pictures. Decent quality. Fits the car perfectly. It does not come with heat shield as the original Honda parts had, and due to the size of this part, the OEM heat shield can not be used on it. No big deal. Easy to install. Bought a new O2 sensor to go with it. Now no more check engine light nor rattle sound. The post-cat O2 sensor reading stays steady most of the time, no longer follows nor oscillates like the pre-cat O2 sensor reading does. Wish I had bought it earlier. Great buy! ... show more

  • Fit 2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4 well
Style: 2003-2007 Accord 2.4L
Unfortunately I had to purchase this catalytic converter not because the original one on my 2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4 failed, but because thieves cut it out in my driveway. After that happened the car was really undriveable until I put a new catalytic converter on. Normally I like to order car parts from RockAuto, but Amazon had this one for a good amount cheaper. Since there is no real way from this happening again, I decided to make the repairs myself the cheapest way possible. I also figured the car is almost 18 years old, so I wasn't interested in making this an expensive fix. This cat fit well, and bolted up nicely. I also had to replace the O2 sensor (I ended up using a Denso), and was able to clear the CEL on the car. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is it didn't include the gasket that attaches the rear cat flange to the resonator pipe. For what it's worth it's not shown in the pictures, but it would have been nice to include it. Anyway, a trip to local parts store and less than $10 I had it. So if your 2003-2008 Honda Accord had the cat cut out, this is a good replacement. I'm hearing these vehicles are targeted the most as the amount of precious metals in the OEM cats are incredibly high, and this car is incredibly popular. ... show more

  • It passed the emission inspection
Style: 1998-2002 Accord 2.3L
Thieves stole the original one. This item was suggested by my mechanic (not a Honda Dealer) and it worked. He had to cut it and weld it to a new pipe, but it still costed me a fraction of the original one. The car works as before, it passed the emission inspection, and the thieves will not bother stealing this cheap converter. ... show more

  • (Update) Failed after 3 months! Much smaller than OEM
Style: 2003-2007 Accord 2.4L
*Update to my original review. This cat has failed after 3 months. My P0420 code has come back. Don’t waste your time or money on this part. Can’t really complain to much considering the price. The overall size of the cat is much smaller than the OEM cat. Easy to install but the included hardware is garbage. The threads on the nuts and bolts stripped out while torquing them down. I had to cut them off in order to install better hardware. I have about 5,000 miles on this cat since I installed it and my P0420 hasn’t come back so that’s a plus. ... show more

  • I found another problem causing my P0420 code...
Style: 2003-2007 Accord 2.4L
Update Feb 2024: I heard a rattling under my car and found the heat shield over the exhaust had partially come down and sitting on the exhaust and also resting on the wires for the downstream 02 sensor, but I couldn't see damage to the wires. After I fixed the heat shield, the code P0420 is gone and hasn't come back in a couple days now, I couldn't get it to go away in the past few weeks even after clearing it with my OBD box. So apparently the code was caused by the shield resting on the wires somehow, which is still baffling to me because they weren't cut or frayed. So I have changed my rating to 5 stars ! Beware... I bought this for my 2007 Honda in mid 2022 due to intermittent code P0420. The original converter lasted almost 200,000 miles. This one didn't quite compare. It's been about 18 months and maybe 10,000 miles, and the code is back on all the time now. It wasn't a huge pain to change, but it's hard getting under a Honda Accord without a lift. Apparently I'll be buying a different brand converter again. I'm not to happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • This catalytic converter worked great on my Honda!
Style: 1998-2002 Accord 2.3L
I bought a 1998 Honda Accord LX and it failed emissions testing here in Denver area. I bought this catalytic converter and, although it was a perfect fit and included all the gaskets and hardware, it required a bit of experience to get the old cat off. The old heat shield needed a little modification with tin snips. After the new cat was installed, I drove the car for several drive cycles and cleared the pre-existing P0420 OBD2 diagnostic code. I passed the emissions retest. This cat was a very good price and it is working perfectly. ... show more
