I did a little before and after with the light. The light assembly was easy, but it definitely comes in a small box so don’t be worried. The light comes with a very long chain if needed. Let me start with saying this picture doesn't do it justice! I was surprised when it arrived in a flat box, but upon opening, it was super easy to put together and literally took 10 minutes. We added a longer chain and cord because of the placement in our old home, but that was super easy to do as well with a kit from Lowes. We absolutely love it, we bought the larger size and it's such an updated statement piece over our dinning table and creates a really pretty pattern on the ceiling when on.
