I wanted a desk big enough to have a work side and a gaming side. It has worked perfect for my set up. Both sides feel roomy for my needs. I (young female engineer) was able to assemble this desk by myself. However, there were many issues. One of the screws did not have a head. 2 of the screws were impossible to get lined up right so I was unable to get them in. The instructions were not clear, so I ended up assembling the side posts backwards and had to redo them and then I had screwed the wood back on upside down because the photos did not make clear where the hole should go, so I ended up have to take that out and turn it around in order to get the back X wires to work. Overall the desk feels sturdy, but I doubt it would hold up if it was moved around. The top is already chipping along the edge and I have had the desk a month. Okay so.. double desks in this price range are not easy to find. Especially if you want a cooler vibe. Due to Covid and our district’s plan, my kids are now in school only half as many days. I was sick of their gross school stuff all over the kitchen table so we needed a solution. This is clearly not some heirloom piece of furniture. It’s a reasonably priced quick fix. As mentioned in other comments, the instructions aren’t super clear.. but my spouse persevered - albeit with some internal rage. Two screws stripped immediately but within an hour and a half or so he had conquered the setup. You can see in one of the pics that it doesn't line up perfectly in the middle (which I read in other reviews), but I’m wondering if that will be fixable - and it’s pretty minimal. The surface area is wide enough for them to work on a Chromebook and spread out with notes and books a bit. They each have their own space and I really like the look of it. So there it is. It’s not perfect. It’s kind of a pain to put together, but it’s the right price, looks cool and is the right size.     • Nice Desk, but HORRIBLE to Assemble!

I love this desk, but if I could give "assembly" less than 1 star, I would. This is the worst piece of furniture we've ever had to put together, (even items from Ikea!), and it took 3 hours for my husband and I to assemble it. The Allen wrench included in the hardware kept stripping the bolt heads to the point that the wrench end became rounded. We ended up having to use a vice grip to get the screws in. The pre-drilled screw holes were not drilled to match up, and the "instruction" sheet consisted of drawings only, and it was difficult to determine which end was which. It was frustrating and exhausting. But, the desk looks good, is sturdy, big, modern and visually appealing. I like the built in shelf area, and I just enjoy the size of the work space, and we feel it's priced well-- a great value. I appreciate that we didn't have to use glue like you do with cheaper furniture, and if it were just somehow easier to put together, I'd give it ☆☆☆☆☆. ... show more

I started to assemble alone, it can be done but I wouldn’t recommend it. Quicker with two people. As far as ease of assembly, it isn’t that hard, instructions can be confusing but if you look closely it makes sense. It’s all by picture and arrows but not rocket science. I would have given it a 5 star but the screws that come with it. (all Allen wrench assembly) strip easy or are missing the screw insert. They do provide spare parts but some of those are also the same way. I had to use a hammer on some. I do love the final outcome. It’s is exactly what I needed and fit perfectly. Using it to homeschool my two daughters (covid). For price it is a great buy. Sturdy. Stable. ... show more

    • Nice Double Desk; Instruction Need Improvement

As many have mentioned here, the instructions leave much to be desired. They are basically an exploded view of the product with lines directing where the screws go. It's also not always obvious what is the front and what is the back, so I had to take apart sections once during the build. I buy a lot of furniture from IKEA and am used to assembling flat-pack furniture. This was comparatively much more difficult due to the instructions. Adding the top will be difficult if you tighten too much throughout the prior steps, so tighten lightly in the beginning. Lastly, if the screws for the top aren't aligning, you probably have the top facing the wrong way. I had had that issue with the first top piece. It would be helpful if the top pieces and leg were labeled with an arrow pointing to the front. Other than some frustration with the build, it's a nice, solid desk with lots of room for two people. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it was not quick or easy to assemble. ... show more
