    • they do dissolve in water.....but
The labels do actually dissolve in water, but good luck on writing anything on the label, near to impossible. What good are they if the health dept. walks into my restaurant and wants to review these labels and can't read them. I mean, if I cant read what it wrote, then its next to zero that they could. I'm moving on, haven't found anything on Amazon that works so far. ... show more

    • they absolutely do NOT dissolve in water, but I still like them
4 stars because they absolutely do not dissolve in water (ha! - not even close - not even through the dishwasher). However, that being said, they are wonderful and peel off without leaving a film/sticky residue behind (unless you run them through the dishwasher, then they leave a sticky film behind, so don't do that thing - remove them first). Easy to apply, good adhesion, easy to remove =) ... show more

I food prep so having a label is a must. Size is ok. Would be nice if a tad bigger but ok. Really does dissolve off even in cold water, so easy to remove. Adhesion is great. Very durable. Not too sticky but just enough. Perfect for labeling.

I've been using dissolvable labels for years. They make clean-up a breeze, practically rinsing off in a second or two. Keeping track of time and temperature sensitive ingredients is key in food safety. I wish that they came with a dispenser box.
