  • Very entertaining
Size: Large
This was a gift for a 5yr old and 2yr old to enjoy on a beach trip especially if it rained. They both easily learned how to use it. My two yr old grandson went straight to it each morning and after each nap. Coin retrieval was very easy and allowed quick reuse. There was a generous amount of coins. I had no trouble with assembly and we used the plug in feature. The music was not too loud, but could easily be switched to silent mode. Refill was easy as well and glad I chose this size instead of the other mini machines. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Dinosaur Claw Machine for Kids
Size: Small
The media could not be loaded. A small kid is likely to be drawn in by the bright colors and the friendly dinosaur creatures in this book. The directions were simple to understand and execute, and the process of setting up the machine was uncomplicated. A total of ten plush toys and twelve dinosaur accessories were included in the bundle. Each of these items is of high quality and quite cute. In my opinion, the fact that there are many different awards contributes to the excitement and replay potential of the game. My kid was really enthralled by the machine once we switched it on for the first time because of the music and the lights. After a little bit of repetition, he was able to get the hang of the claw mechanism, which is simple enough for young hands to handle. In my opinion, the difficulty of rotating the claw in order to achieve the goal of grabbing a toy gives children a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Both the controls and the claw move in a seamless manner, which reduces the amount of aggravation experienced and increases the amount of enjoyment experienced. ... show more

  • Can be hard to grab toys
Size: Small
We have two crane machines. There are pros and cons for each but no matter what your looking for I'll contrast the two so maybe it'll give you something to think about with what you might what to buy if your getting one of these and help your shopping decisions/experience. 1)The other machine we have takes a coin to make it work which means keeping up with at least one coin at all times which with kids can be impossible. This one is not coin operated so it works as all time regardless. 2) This came with a good amount of prizes! You get little balls that open in the middle that you can add notes, stickers, or other very small prizes , as well as little stuffed toy faces, and plastic dinosaurs. The other one we had came with prizes but you go through them quickly. 3) For both you can use batteries or plug it in for USB power. 4) Both play a tune while working. However, this set has songs that you can pick from with a push of a button and you can adjust volume or turn the music off if you don't want any song playing. 5) This one is smaller in size so it takes up less room on a dresser, etc. but it also doesn't operate as well because of it. You have to have less toys in this to start as the crane arm/bucket doesn't have a lot of space to open and grab a toy. It creates a challenge, sometimes impossible at times to grab a toy. The other set we have has a challenge feature but it's easy to operate and grab toys with ease. Which is far less frustrating to kids especially on the younger age of what's recommended. ... show more

  • Cute toy
Size: Small
My son wanted this and I really thought it was going to be a cheap toy that would break immediately. It has been going strong for months and the kids love it.

  • Best purchase ever for my toddler
Size: Small
My 4 year old is obsessed with this and was able to master the controls quickly. We drop a sucker in there with the other toys it comes with and let him play and get the candy after he sits on the potty as a reward.

  • so the directions suck-
Size: Large
i really think i would’ve loved this, if i had been able to get it together correctly. unfortunately the directions are terrible and now i have a loose wire hanging down really affecting the whole construction.. why spend so much time to create a product only to have it ruined by the awful instructions? tried to pull the wire out to re-do it and it seems it is now permanently stuck in there. a warning would’ve been nice! ... show more

  • Works great! My 9-year-old loved it! Great gift idea.
Size: Small
This was an immediate hit in our house. My child found it extremely addicting. My kiddo had fun trying everything it came with and then trying different things in it (My child was most delighted by d10s and d20s). You can also put wrapped small candy like Werther's or the smaller fun size candy bars into the machine. Think the size of Hershey's kisses. There is a learning curve but it performs much better than I expected. I didn't think it was going to do very well, and that's the immediate first impression, but with a little bit of practice we figured out that it has quite a grippy surface. You can also get some randomness by not pulling it all the way to the top and instead learning to get it in the position you want. The controls are backwards from what you would expect which could be frustrating. At first. New users will find themselves continuously pulling the hook up when they really mean to drop it down. Once you play around with it, it becomes a lot easier. There are areas of the machine that the claw cannot reach well such as behind the chute. This may frustrate younger users who may not understand that sometimes you need to reset the machine. I was shocked at how well this worked for the price. The plastic looks of high quality and the decorations are really cute. Even the toy dinosaurs it came with have a lot of detail. I like that there is a volume button for the music and that you can change the tune when it gets too repetitive. Also kudos to whoever thought to give it a usb plug option because running through batteries is never fun. That really takes this to the next level. I much prefer not having rechargeable batteries built in because it's safer to be able to add them ourselves (not to mention it means that this will be functioning for a long time with no risk of leakage.) We play a lot at Round 1 and this is a fun way to scratch that itch. I love the idea some parents had of putting chores into the machine. I think our family will come up with some creative uses too. This would make a fantastic gift for a kid. ... show more
