Now I overall rate these decent enough. I have significant hearing loss and have been that way since I was born. These were the first "hearing aids" I bought and they're honestly not bad. They DO wear out. Wearing them everyday I usually get a few months out of them, before they stop functioning. BUT for the price, the length of time I get out of them is better than the 4k that they want for most hearing aids. And it's nice that they're rechargeable so you don't have to waste additional money on batteries. According to the audiologist they do a great job of bringing my hearing level up from what my ears can do on their own. ... show more

Having experience with one set of very expensive programmable hearing aids and a number of inexpensive amplifiers, these have easily been the best overall. (Many mishaps with lost, laundered and dog-chewed devices.) The expensive ones were good but not that good, and unaffordable to replace. What I like about these, besides the price, is the ease of use. The controls are a simple on/off switch and an up/down volume dial. The part that goes behind the ear is pretty small, unlike some others. For people with small ear canals, the ear piece fits and is very soft. Instead of a hollow plastic tube that carries sound to the earpiece, an insulated copper wire powers a speaker in the earpiece itself, which lets you bend the wire around the curvature of the ear for a tight fit. Have not used these much in noisy settings, so can't comment on that, other than that noise cancelling in previous ones was pretty ineffective. Have had these for two or three months with no problems. It is a bit challenging to seat them into the charger - you just have keep gently wiggling until they go all the way in. A light tells you when it's charging. I wonder about the durability of the copper wire if it gets bent this way and that too many times, but so far it's fine. Highly recommend. ... show more

I accidentally broke my hearing aids in my parking lot (Starkey brand btw). My insurance wouldn't authorize another pair until 2025! So I came across these and said "what do I have to lose?"... OMG... I've never been able to hear better in my life. No more cars going by sounding like jet engines. Fans in the house don't sound like a rushing river. No more changing batteries once a week. Each side has volume control. They're perfect for a limited income senior like me. Their staff goes above and beyond to make you hear better than ever. Worth every cent I paid ☺️ ... show more

I found these to be too difficult for an older person to use. I bought these for my 85 yr old mother to use and she couldn't operate them. The volume dial is tiny and difficult for an older person to control. She couldn't put them on herself and after a day argued that she didn't have any "hearing aides". She has now already lost one ( we were trying them one at a time so didn't lose both) so I can't return them. She couldn't put them on herself, and trying to put them on someone else is difficult and then can't tell if the volume is too high or too low. Tried them on myself and found them difficult to wear since don't stay on and do not sit snug to the ear or in the ear, so I found them uncomfortable. The amplification is not constant and seems to go off and on. When it is working everything in the room is amplified, so it is a little strange to get used to how it is supposed to work or how it works for someone that has difficulty hearing. My mother said, while I was there she thought it was helping, and she seemed to hear the television better, but she didn't want to wear them to the dining room. I didn't notice any noise cancelling capabilities while I was wearing them, so wearing them to the dining room may have gotten loud. I also found them difficult to get into the charger, and my mother couldn't do that by herself either. Perhaps these would be better if some one could take care of these themselves but for an 85 year old person that is hard of hearing and has dementia these are not a good option. ... show more
