The seller actually sent me the wrong item at first and instead of contacting the seller, I contacted Amazon support (which was my mistake) and they provided a refund. I only requested the refund bc my dogs were out of food and I needed the shipment to be on time but I ended up having to cook for them for 4 days. Even though I got a refund, the seller STILL replaced my item and gave me the option to return it for a gift card instead. I’d say that’s above and beyond customer service. Totally changed my perspective of the seller and I greatly appreciate it! My 3 dogs followed me into the kitchen while I opened the box. They watched me pour it into their food tub and before I could put the lid on they each grabbed a bite! They loved smell and taste and scarfed it all out of their bowls. I’d say we got a winner!!

Diamond Naturals competes with most of the other so called " Holistic" dog foods out there on the market. However, If you're looking to buy a high protein fish based dog food for your beloved fur baby, Diamond Naturals is probably not your best choice. Granted it's impressive that the products main ingredients are Salmon and Fish meal. I like that there's no chicken meal or chicken fat added. Who needs that? However there's lower grade Pea protein added to hike the product's already mediocre 25% minimum protein level rating. Sadly, the product simply falls short of the standard 32 - 34% higher protein range offered in many other better choice Fish Grain Free dog food products out there. Undeniably Diamond Naturals taken at face value is truly offered here at a Great Price. It's really nice though to see a GRAIN FREE Salmon dog food product sold which is just that --- ALL FISH. Impressive indeed. Blue Buffalo at a considerably much higher price still includes chicken meal. Impressive also are the probiotic numbers 80 million CFU which assist your dog's digestive system with less allergic reactions. IF YOUR DOG HAS A SENSITIVE STOMACH? This is the highest number available for any commercially made dog food I could find out there on the market. I've been told the higher probiotic numbers in this brand also prevents less ear infections . Anyone have a dog like me with skin issues ? Happily the Omega Fatty Acid levels in Diamond Naturals will also help to promote your dog's healthy skin and coat. (SEE PIC) This means less hot spots on your dog. Offering just White Potato instead of Sweet Potato though stands out as a MAJOR disappointment. My dog doesn't have an allergic reaction to potato but many dogs do. . However, where the product primarily falters Big Time is in the area of Smell and Taste. Where's the FISH? Wag smells like Fish , American Journey smells like Fish, all of which are sold in the same overall price range as Diamond Naturals. Why then Diamond Naturals doesn't smell like really ANYTHING AT ALL is for me mind boggling. The first picture is that of Wag Salmon and the second picture is that of Diamond Naturals. Just look at the color difference as well. The darker color granule resonates with a stronger smell of fish. (SEE PICS). My dog like many can be a picky eater. Fortunately when mixed with other dog food my pet will still eagerly gobble Diamond Naturals up. It's a quality ingredient product and I realize the discussion topic of smell and taste is truly subjective. However, you would think the manufacturer would have spent just a little more time on making it smell and taste a more appealing. The stronger the fish smell the better my dog likes it. Say that 10 times fast, lol. I have a half lab half pyrenees, a 110 pound doggo that just turned 9 this year. He was my first dog so everything in all of his life stages has been an adventure for me as much as him. Hes always had allergies and sensitive skin, he has a lot of issues with getting ear infections and a dry runny nose. He takes allergy meds and I've found that a daily dose of coconut oil treats really helps. (1 1/2 cup of unrefined coconut oil, 1/4 of peanut butter, soften them, whisk and then pour on a cookie sheet with wax paper and put in the freezer. Takes 10 min to harden, breakem up an voila. You can add a lil turmeric for pain management ;) Anyways he recently started having more issues with his stomach and even though hes been getting older I didnt think about how that would effect his stomach, and I found out that senior dogs have more sensitive stomachs. He was throwing up his food at least every other day, pretty much daily starting about 6 months ago and we had been feeding him Pure Balance for a long time with no issues. Then I tried Natures Recipe and that was a lil bit better....he only threw up a couple times a week. We tried Purina One Smart Blend True Instinct, they loved that food...but he was still throwing up. He also used to hate salmon food, so I thought that was a no go. But I though screw it, hes changed a lot so I tried this Diamond Naturals Salmon food and the difference is amazing. He has thrown up maybe once in the last 3 to 4 months that we've been feeding him this brand. To be fair we also got a slow feeding water bowl recently, because he was chugging water....which he still tries to do. We feed this brand to all of our dogs now, they are less impressed with it than the purina one smart blend that has actually chunks of dried meat but we definitely think this brand is the best option for our family right now. Glad we made the switch, Jasper and his dog mom really appreciate him not throwing up all of the time. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk 😋 ... show more

I had to find a dog food that my German shepherd/Husky would eat and not get a rash from. I had already tried several others and she would eat it once or twice and never touch it again. I found Diamond Naturals skin & coat dog food on Amazon.com and looking at reviews, the price etc., I bought it. Let me tell you, she absolutely loves it. When it’s time to eat she is so happy to get her food bowl. Her skin is almost completely cleared up, she seems happier and is more active and she usually sleeps through the night. If I had to say something negative it would be that the bags could be bigger to reduce my order time. These are 30 lbs. I would like to get 50lb bags. ... show more
