The mat is just too small. High winds lift it as well. If you have a small entrance, it would be ok. I would not recommend it otherwise.

The provided description from vendor is not accurate. This mat is not heavy duty construction. It is medium duty at best with a lightweight rubber backing. The mat arrived in a tight roll which makes it highly unlikely it will ever lay flat, even with reverse roll or heat. There are several reasons why store bought mats are shipped flat, and its ability to lay flat is the primary. I would not recommend this mat at this price point. ... show more

These are great rugs and we bought 3 in different sizes. The color match is perfect for our black slate entrance tile. The rubberized bottom keeps the rug in place. The multi-level design catches dirt from your shoes keeping the rest of the house clean. You can visibly see the debris and know when it is time to shake the rug out or vacuum it. Just purchased a new carpet and needed to protect it from the outdoors coming in on folks shoes. Needed a very thin mat to allow the door to continue to open and close.
