  • DO NOT BUY!!!
This rack and pinion lasted a few months before an o ring blew and power steering fluid gushed out. My mechanic replaced several o rings and each time something inside was causing the o ring to rip and leak power steering fluid. They said it is a defective rack and pinion. This is an expensive labor job. The seller only wants to replace and not refund money. They are only willing to refund money if it is returned within 30 days. This is a part that should last years. Why would I pay another $1,000 to install the same part and risk it becoming defective in a matter of months. Don't buy this cheaper rack and pinion to save some money as it will end up costing you a lot more than just buying a quality rack and pinion to begin with. I learned the hard way and will never buy another Detroit Axle part again. ... show more

  • Excellent unit and an excellent price.
The unit as whole was perfect, everything is as it was said to be, I just wish they would include the lock nuts for the tie rod ends.

  • Looks ok but did NOT include fluid as advertised
Installed and works so far. Hope I have better luck then I had with Detroit Axel Hubs which lasted 1 1/2 months on one side and 7 months on the other.

  • Defected product for 2009 GMC Acadia SLT
This product is defected and when I contacted seller to use my warranty it was way too much of a hassle..they told me I had to return the core first to get a new one but I can’t do that because I’d be without a vehicle with it being at the mechanic and waiting for my core to be shipped/received and then the new one to be shipped to me. The warranty makes no sense in this case. Why not send the new part and then buyer sends the core or gets charged for new part if they do not send back the core within a certain time frame??? ... show more
