  • Quality beyond my expectations - superb pad and rotor set - 2010 Mercury Milan
I finally got around to putting my new Detroit Axle pads and rotors on my Mercury Milan. First, when I received the kit I was very impressed by the shipping and packaging - supreme! The parts looked almost too nice to put on the car...quality craftsmanship (the added brake fluid and rotor cleaner a huge plus as well). Second, the rotors and pads/hardware went on without a hitch and fit perfectly and I had no issues with the caliper and new pads fitting over the rotor (I believe some folks have said the burnishing material on the pads makes this a tight fit). Third, the burnishing material on the pads wore off (per design/purpose) after about 10 miles of stop and go driving and I have had no issues with stopping power, grabbing, noise, or squeaks. I can confidently say for the price point and quality, any home mechanic should give Detroit axle a try for brake rotors and pads. Job well done Detroit axle.....the family is safer and the wallet a little thicker...a win win! ... show more

  • I have no idea how they do it
Pros Rotors were a good quality and one set of break pads were wearever (the same ones at advance Auto) Has replacement hardware plus new fluid and bake cleaner I saved 200 dollars going with this brand over my local auto parts dealer. Honestly, I have no clue how they do it. I have not one con about using this company. I had lots of issues with the rusty calipers, but nothing to do with rotors and pads. A+, Shipping took a few days but saved me allot of money. Week later, still awesome. I see another review about oxidation. I have not experienced that. Not saying they are incorrect, just not what i experienced. Even if these do not last as long as other brands, I still feel it is a tremendous value. Especially since nothing will last long with the northeast salty roads. ... show more

  • Easy install and very quiet
Bought these for a 2011 ford fusion se 2.5l. Install was easy. No issues with noise or anything so far. I did paint the rotor hats to help prevent rust. Its only been a couple of months so if anything changes will update.

  • 2010 Fusion (Mixed bag)
I got all of the pros and cons from the reviews I read. Pros: Functionality - The breaks and rotors work well for me. Car now stops without shaking. I installed about 3 months ago. I’ve had to stop hard a couple of times and they work like a charm. Value - What can I say. It doesn’t get much cheaper. Cons: Break squeak/dust - These break pads suck. Get different break pads end of story. Never have I had so much break dust on any of the vehicles I’ve owned. Worse than the dust they squeal horribly. They’re sooo loud. I’ve hit them with an entire can of break cleaner. At this point I’m probably going to just install new pads because I can’t handle this squeezing any more. I’m just hoping they don’t wear out super quickly like some of the other reviewers. The breakdown - Rotors work to perfection, the break pads suck. I’d either get a higher end set all together, or just use the rotors and trash the pads. Whatever makes more sense for your dollar. ... show more
