This foundation is so superb as stage make up and or beyond full coverage. The problem that I have with it is it’s extremely oily like a painting type product. I do use it. I add a piece size to my other foundation. Just a cautionary statement to say that this may not be for everyone and I do seem to break out because it is so full coverage and oily, but it’s an absolute beautiful foundation. I have gotten a year of longevity from the use of it and so that’s why I’m writing my review now. I will be purchasing but just know that this is not an every day foundation and it may be better suited to add into another formula that’s Matte based.❤️ ... show more

    • YouTube had me like YES, until I bought it......
First off, let me give you a background of me, my skin, and why I bought this make-up. I am a 41 year old woman, and had acne as a young adult, so I have scars. I have mild crows feet, and dark circles under eyes that I was literally born with. Over all the texture of my skin is smooth, aside from the not too deep scars mainly on my cheeks. Insteps YOUTUBE, in all it's glory with more than 75,000 videos on a product called Dermacol. I had just purchased the Mally Soft Focus Finish, and I am IN love with that product, but since the rage seemed to be Dermacol, I decided to try it for more coverage for the mild wrinkles, and for sure the acne scars. Now, I am not 100% sure this product is the real deal, but the packaging looks like it is. It was indeed very thick, and even though I watched 100 videos on which color is best for someone with my skin tone, the one I ordered was too dark. I decided to give it whirl anyway, thinking if it really worked like YouTube says it does, then I will order another tube in a shade lighter. I won't be doing that. I am not sure WHAT matte looking make-up these girls on YouTube are using, but it's NOT what I ordered. After applying the first layer I noticed right away that it felt like and oil slick, and smelled like an tire shop, rubber? Odd. My mild wrinkles now magnified to 1000 times worse, and the acne scars actually looked larger and deeper! EGAD! I was not OOOHHHINNNG and AHHHHING like the YouTube videos. I tried to apply a second coat, and while it did paint my face, the way that it coated it was horrific! I quickly got a washcloth and my face soap and removed it. ONLY, I couldn't. After 5 clean washcloths, half a bottle of face soap, and even some shampoo, I was stained. It was not coming off. PLEASE beware. I also opened the bottle a little while later to make sure the cap was on and oil was oozing out of the tube. I couldn't even cap it back up because my hand was too slick! While someone somewhere might be getting a great product, they aren't all created equal, and not all faces are either. I'm sticking with the Mally Soft Focus, it has great coverage, smells great, and gives my skin a healthy clean glow. ... show more

I usually never write reviews, but this worked so well that I actually am lol. So I cosplay, and when I have a shoot or am taking photos I cover my tattoos as I'm a stickler for accuracy. I have a huge Japanese sleeve on one arm and a large black star wars tattoo on my thigh, and a black and grey half sleeve on my other arm. Alone, definitely didn't work. But paired with the right products, it works amazingly. I wish I had taken a before an after photo, because I'm still super amazed at how well this worked. This was my process: first was orange concealer to help color correct and cancel out the black tones. I used the LA girl pro conceal in orange corrector. Next I used the Ben Nye neutral set colorless powder and applied a thick layer with a powder puff, dabbing it on. I brushed away the excess and sprayed on a light layer of the Ben Nye final seal. After that dried I then applied a regular concealer. I used covergirl outlast extreme wear. It's a nice full coverage concealer. I then did another layer of powder and setting spray. Next I applied the Dermacol. It was super thick and extremely full coverage and a little went a long way. After that set a bit, I applied a last layer of powder and setting spray. I surprisingly only needed one round of these products to cover my dark black tattoos. I went all day at a convention and it stayed on well in the heat with me sweating and rubbing, probably highly due to the help of the Ben Nye products, which I highly recommend as well.
