Let's start with the features and capabilities of the DEPSTECH Borescope. This model is equipped with triple lenses, allowing for detailed inspection and capturing clear, high-definition images and videos. The 5-inch IPS display provides a crisp and vibrant viewing experience, making it easy to see intricate details and detect issues in hard-to-reach areas. One of the standout features of this borescope is its audio recording capability. With built-in microphones, you can record audio along with video footage, providing valuable context during inspections and diagnostics. This feature enhances the utility of the borescope for documenting findings or communicating observations with colleagues or clients. I appreciate the rugged and durable design of the DEPSTECH Borescope. It features an IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring reliable performance in wet or damp environments such as sewer lines or plumbing systems. The 16.5-foot cable provides ample reach for exploring deep into pipes, ducts, or other confined spaces. The inclusion of a 32GB memory card and a protective carrying case adds to the convenience and value of this borescope kit. The memory card allows for ample storage of photos and videos captured during inspections, while the case keeps the borescope and accessories organized and protected during storage or transport. Overall, I am highly impressed with the DEPSTECH Borescope with Triple Lens Endoscope Camera. It offers exceptional versatility, performance, and ease of use for a wide range of inspection tasks. • 1080p resolution, bright screen, no latency issues
I have a maintenance schedule coming up for changing out the spark plugs. I thought why not use these to check on them? It comes with a powerful set of LED lights that accompany each of the three available camera lenses in the 16.5' cable. They're extremely bright, capable of illuminating pitch black passages of any nook and crannies that need to be traversed. The cables are stiff, but flexible so you can even bend them to any direction of your choosing and it will stay erect in that orientation until you straighten back out. The main device boasts a 5'' IPS display that surprisingly has a wide gamut of available colors. I'm not sure the display itself is 1080p but all three cameras are, at least according to the accompanying specs sheet included in the package. You'll find that the device has 2 USB-C ports, one to insert the optics cable, and the other for charging and data to transfer the contents of the SD card via USB connection. Furthermore, it comes with a 32GB SD card so you can take pictures pretty much on a whim and not worry about running out of memory on a job. The device is incredibly easy to use with intuitive UI coupled with well-labeled buttons. You can almost do without consulting the manual to use it pretty much out of the box. But what's nice is that you can always browse the manual as it's also stored as an option that can be chosen at any time for viewing on the screen itself in case you've lost its printed counterpart. It has both a mic and a speaker built in for taking 1080p videos to record your findings on top of simply taking pictures. But you do need to speak into the built-in mic of the device for clarity. It's a tiny hole labeled as "mic" just below the screen. I also tested this device to see if I had any cavities in my mouth. While I walked away with the knowledge that I did not, it was a rather uncomfortable experience to see the innards of my mouth from that kind of perspective. I guess the moral of the story is that the camera works quite well in even the most unorthodox environment and to visit your dentist regularly. To close, this is a very capable borescope device capable of taking pictures and even videos on the fly. It suffers from virtually no latency issues so no delays whatsoever when you're discounting the few seconds it takes to change cameras but that's to be expected. That said, I deducted a point for two reasons. First, the length of the cable is quite short for such a device. I think it's worth nothing now that there are devices that are 30' or even 50' in length for practically the same price point. Secondly, there's no option to view the pictures or footages you've just taken on the device itself. It's a bit disappointing but you still need to connect it to another device to be able to send it as an email attachment or upload it into a cloud so I guess I'll just have to review it then. 4 out of 5 stars. ... show more

  • What a cool tool!
The media could not be loaded. This is by far one of the coolest borescopes I've ever handled. The whole package comes in a compact protective carry case. The dustproof/waterproof scope is plenty long and flexible with the perfect amount of stiffness. The included 32GB micro-SD card is okay with acceptable transfer speeds around 40 Mbps for me. The triple camera array is a very neat idea. The 180 degree view rotation at the press of a button is quite helpful if you don't know what side was up when you started inserting the probe. There's a built-in tutorial in the menu (same tutorial that displays on the first time you ever boot-up). It should be noted that it lets you select the language immediately, but you should go into the menu and set the current date/time or else you'll end up recording a video timestamped for 2023 like I accidentally did. The video quality is amazing for the size of the camera and sensors. I noticed that when I was recording video I was unable to change cameras until I stopped recording. Not a deal breaker but just something to note if it's a feature that you really care about. The most genuinely useful thing for me was the included accessories you can attach to the front of the probe. There is a strong rare-earth magnet that should help with picking up dropped screws, and a stiff hook that can be used to dislodge something, or in my case to pull out cat toys that ended up under the fridge or oven. The video recordings include audio, but I believe the microphone is on the controller unit and not on the probe end. This is useful if you need to narrate your video. ... show more
