  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect a issues with alignment but nive
Edit: so serious problems with these lights and the alignment can’t get them right no matter what because of the crooked bulb holders the light spread pattern is a Radick and you really can’t make it look that great they’re sending me a new set hopefully that solves the problem .. I’ve always wanted these black housing JDM style headlights for as long as I can remember DEPO was One of the first to make them- issues in the past but they definitely improved. They even include a little pamphlet to explain why there’s condensation inside the lights which I don’t know if that’s good or bad. My problem with these is the bulb for the headlight mount and the retention spring I had to bend the tabs on the light to make it level as you can see in one of the photos it’s crooked the other one was even more crooked they’re not very centered or straight in the housing but that’s where the adjustment comes into place I put the bulbs in when the headlights were out I’m sure will be very difficult to change the bulbs when it comes time. I did use HIkari leds so it should be a while till I have to replace them. The light housing is very nice everything‘s absolutely OEM I replace the bulb holders with the factory ones because getting bulbs into the new ones is nearly impossible. I wish there was a higher and brand of these I would rather purchase those. But I am very happy with these getting a black grill and wrapping my truck to match ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Adjusters don't work.
They're not a bad light, noticed a difference from my faded and cracked old ones. Unfortunately aftermarket lights always seem to be flimsy with adjusters if they have any. I got lucky and they're not too off with projection. Quality could be better.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Fit
Overall I’m very happy with these headlights although they’ve only been installed a couple of days. I did take time to seal the seams with silicone very throughly before installing. They are a pain to install but that’s on the design by Toyota, not the fault of the manufacturer. I did only give 4 stars only because I tried to use all the new plugs that came with the headlights only to have my marker lights not work. One would work on and off, particularly if I bumped the lens and it would come on. The other wouldn’t light up at all. I changed the plugs back from the oem headlights and now they work perfectly. I read people talk about the light pattern being weird. I don’t see too much of that myself. It’s a little more scattered than the oems but not too much. The fact that my old lenses were so hazed up I can still see way better than before. I marked the garage wall With masking tape where the main part of the light shines before removing the factory lights and then adjusted the new ones to the same marks. The adjusters worked fine for me. They look amazing on my truck. As long as meal seal job holds up and I don’t get any moisture inside I’ll be happy with these. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific purchase!
Fantastic product! The fit and finish is Identical to factory, if not nicer - on my silver 2009 Tacoma. I agree with some of the previous reviews, the black bezel makes these look pretty badass. I had no problem installing them after watching a couple youtube videos, and I chose not to remove the bumper, instead just reaching my arm through the mudguard. Removal and install took my dad and I about an hour (he just handed me tools). These headlights come very well packaged and mine were in pristine condition when they came to my door. The seller did tell me there was some sort of recall, so shipping was delayed a couple weeks, but overall worth the wait. I also did not need to re-aim these headlights, as they were close enough to where the stock ones hit, against my garage wall. The new headlights do come with new plugs (the part that actually hold the bulbs in the assembly), but I only used a couple of them, the stock ones fit fine and the seals on the old ones were in good shape and completely compatible with these. I did buy new yellow bulbs for my DRL's since the yellow paint was mostly flaked off and I already have the lights out. **Be careful not to use "Invisible Glass" to clean these, it left smudges on my brand new headlights, but nothing a Mr. Clean magic eraser couldn't fix! Also I have washed my truck 3 times since installing, and there has been zero condensation or leaking that I have seen. Great purchase, would definitely recommend to anyone that has those burnt yellow lenses on the daytime running lights :) ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Best quality OEM style lights
Have used a bunch of these on several Tacoma's over the years. The Depo brand is the best quality black housing OEM style that you can get in my opinion. I do always add a bead of silicone around the seal of the lens and housing though before install to make sure their are no condensation issues like Tacoma's are known for. But never had an issue when doing this. Also added vinyl eyelids for a more aggressive look ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars VERY NICE UPGRADE! Bring your own silicone.
These fit great and look spectacular compared to the originals (which were cloudy and had burned lenses). Night driving is SO much better now. Good light distribution pattern and very bright. I followed the advice from other reviewers and sealed the lenses with clear silicon before installing. Lots of rain and car-washes later and still no problems. Interesting note - the new lights came with a flyer from the manufacturer trying to explain that it was totally normal for headlights to accumulate water droplets and fog up with condensation. Even showed little drawings of water molecules happily bouncing around inside the lenses. That really convinced me to apply the silicone and I'm happy I did. You will want to check alignment of the lights after installing. My right one was aimed a bit low. Find a really flat area next to a vertical wall you can shine the headlights on at night. Chalk mark where the top of the light patterns fall when you are 1 foot away, then back up about 10 feet and check. They should be about 1/2 to 1 inch below chalk mark to get good lighting without blinding others. The side to side adjusters on the lamps had no significant affect on the pattern, but that was OK since they came well aligned along the horizontal. ... show more
