I purchased three different pill cutters and this Multiple Pill Cutter for Small Pills works so much better than the cheaper plastic cutters that only cut one pill at a time. The description states that it's for small pills but it will hold larger pills as well and you are able to cut multiple pills at once. The only drawback is if you need to cut the pills in quarters instead of just half. It's difficult to line the half cut pills in the holder properly to an even cut. It's well made and very sturdy. The nice thing about this is I can split large quantities of pills at a time so that I can fill my weekly pill organizer. It fits like 7 pills at a time perfect for 2 week organizers. Only complaint is that it does take some effort to push it closed to split the pills and my vitamin that I use it for doesn't have an indent for half like some pills have so I think because of that the split pills sometimes don't come out perfectly even. ... show more

Works for most pills for cutting them in half. Love that you can cut multiple pills at once. If you have larger, oval pills, they won't fit. Only 4 stars for accuracy because for some reason one type of circular pill I have (a small diuretic )never seems to cut exactly in half despite me lining them up and then securing them. It's off slightly. And if you try to quarter a small pill, that's difficult to do too. So as far as cutting multiples at once it's great. Larger pills don't fit (oval cholesterols) and tiny pills I had trouble getting cut exactly in half. ... show more

I have to split several medications for my elderly cats, because the pills do not come in small enough doses, and it is very time-consuming. I am delighted with this device for four reasons. I can line up 6 of the pills at once. There is an adjustment that lets me fit in pills of different sizes. Finally, one of the pills has to be split into four pieces, and I find I can line up the pills again after I split them in half to get the needed four pieces.
