I live in the Seattle area and work from home - my 10x10 office gets hot. When it's 70 outside, my office can be 80+ from 11 am to 5 pm. I got this unit several weeks ago and though it's June when I'm writing this (and it hasn't gotten truly hot yet this year) I've been really happy with it. The fan mode draws in fresh air from outside and often times this is all I need. The AC works great and I'm taking phone calls in the same room with it. It makes some noise but not an obnoxious amount. The dehumidifier mode produces over 12 ounces of water an hour and this is my fav mode. It puts out ice box cold air while drawing a lot of the moisture out of the apartment. Set up required no tools and was easy. It took me a few tries to figure out how to use the timer function, but now I use it. I can have the unit come on an hour before I start work, so the room is nice and comfortable. I haven't used the sleep timer yet. The only con I found: the drain for the dehumidifier is located on the bottom and the unit sits really close to the floor. I couldn't figure out how to drain it without making a mess, so I built a pedestal out of some scrap and elevated the unit. Now it sits higher and I can put a container underneath to drain the water into. Over all, I am happy enough with it that I am buying a second one for my bedroom. ... show more

    • Stressful setup and unclear instructions

Works well to cool room. however, instructions were very unclear, as most of the parts did not fit correctly or really had to use a lot of unnecessary force to get it on. also comes with other screws but no where does it say when and how to use them. also with window, extra sliding was too long so unable to use and half of my window is open. even had to tape the window part to my window as it would not stay at all. even with drainage tube, it is too small and does not fit over the water outlet. also, loud even on sleep mode. after a while makes kinda loud resetting noise. overall, it feels like a bunch of random parts were put together and hope that it works out for the consumer. the price was definitely not worth the stress of putting this together as i hoped to move it bedroom to office but after putting it together i dont wanna touch it at all because that is how flimsy this is. ... show more

I like the convenience of moving it around. However the exhaust hose is too rigid and take time but is doable. The other problem with the hose is that it gets very hot and turn into a heat source for the same room that you're trying to cool down. The good thing is that i had an insulation blanket from another project and could make it work with a little bit of hard work. But now is working perfectly. However not everyone is handy and probably is going to need a little help with the installation. ... show more

    • Arrived 4 days earlier than expected. Cooling and dehumidify exceeded my expectatipons.
This Denbig air conditioner is awsome. Cooling capability is great for our large master bedroom. Dehumidifier works even better than the cooling. I purchased a portable AC for our basement from Costco 3 years ago. I barely get a small trickle of water out of the reservoir when it is in dehumidify mode. This Denbig AC dehumidifies quickly and the reservoir fills up quickly. The unit comes with a rubber hose to attach for constant draining into a larger bucket so you don't have to worry about emptying the built in reservoir every hour. I have been running dehumidify over night and the temperature in the room drops down to a chilly "great for sleeping" temp in the mid 60's. Easy and quick to install. Love the wheels that make it easy to move around. Window kit is ok, a little flimsy (compared to one in basememt) and the extension piece that was included leaves openings on the sides of the window that I had to seal with a little duck tape, might be in part design of our windows. It was also not long enough for our big bedroom window so I had to use the extension left over from our unit in the basement. Keep that in mind if you want to use it in a large window. However, the unit itself gets 5 stars from me. Window kit is minor issue. I do recommend it, much better performer than the noisier and less efficient unit i have in the basement. Very effective at cooling and dehumidifying and at a great price too. ... show more

Hey, it works like It’s supposed to! I had it for quite some time now along it pumped out some air. and I live down here in the south where it’s hot as the devil‘s butt crack after he ate some hot peppers and sitting on the toilet made of fire. The only thing you do need to do is check the filters, one side and the other one on the side. Yes there’s two , because they will clog up with all that dead skin and dirt and dust floating around the air your always breathing in. You’ll be like damn no wonder people get lung cancer. even if you’re one of them clean freaks. That’s the only time it stopped pumping cold , and once it was clean it’s like new. It’s winter time and I still have to turn it on sometimes, try that out for size! The only other place around here besides, maybe death valley that gets this hot is the little dangling sack hanging off the United States on there on the East Coast. Oh, and don’t be a a dummy and forget to use the pipes to get the hot air outside. Otherwise you’re just pumping the same area around the circle and take a hell of a lot longer to cool down and not do a very good job.. And don’t fart in it! ... show more

I ordered this air-conditioning unit. The wheel was broke before it went in the box. Because I looked for the wheel. Also I did not get the hard plate that goes in the widow to out the attachment. Now can't find to write a review or request my part !!!
