With the whole family either skiing or snowboarding, base waxing and P-Tex repairing is becoming more frequent. This vise pair works great, they clamp tightly to the work bench and steadily hold the skis/snowboards in various angles. As been stated by other reviewers the T-Handle does not slide back and forth - which is a minor inconvenience when initially attaching the pair to the work area. ... show more

These are really nice and not as pricey as other items I compared. My skis fit well into them and although there is no clamp to hold them in place the did not move when I waxed them. The reason this is not 5 starts for me is that you cannot put it close to the table leg or to the wall because the handle to close the vise in place that is about 3 inches long needs the space.In other vises I have it can be moved back and forth and they don't have that problem. ... show more

I was skeptical as to effectiveness of this vise as it does not lock the ski in place. I was pleasantly surprised when I mounted it on my bench and the skis really do not move when scraping.
