Well I have been using this cookware almost everyday. I do understand that is can be heavy but the durability is great. It is very easy to clean. I just use the instructions provided. The heat distribution of the cookware is nice. I made homemade barbeque sauce and slow cooked it for a few hours while I added ingredients to great layers of flavors. Then I can the sauce and no burning of the ingredients. This cookware is expensive and heavy but I do know I will never replace it and I will be able to pass it on. ... show more

I am so happy for giving myself this git. These are incredible pots and pans. I used it daily and I love how hot it stays even after one hour the burner is off. It is by far the best set of pots and pans I have ever had. I will complete the set slowly....highly recommend

We cook a *lot*, and we’re Calaphon users in the past. This 3pc set is replacing some older cookware we were using, and so far they’re doing well. The weight of both the pan and the pot may throw you off a little if you’re not used to it, but it does the job for all the veg cooking we do.

    • Excellent & beautiful cookware, but just a bit too heavy & slow to heat

Let me start by acknowledging that this is VERY high quality cookware - absolutely top of the line. And it’s incredibly beautiful. A few features I absolutely loved were the rivetless interiors (easier to clean), the special Silvinox treated surfaces, and the curved “lip” at the top of the saucepans that make pouring liquids less messy. All very thoughtful design and functionality touches. However, after testing a saucepan and frying pan, and after much deliberation, I decided to return this set and purchase an All-Clad D3 set instead. I came to learn that the Demeyere Atlantis 7-layer construction not only made this cookware heavy (which I knew in advance), but also relatively slow to heat up. The heat retention is excellent once it heats up, but since the care instructions indicate to use no higher than medium heat, this means very slow heating. The All-Clad D3 set is only 3 layers, as its name implies. Although it does not have some of the great design features as Demeyere, the pieces are lighter weight and heat up faster. So I made the tough choice, and went with All-Clad. And I admit to a bit of sadness as I said farewell to the Demeyere set. It’s just so beautiful! I’m very impressed with DaSalla’s customer service though. They answered all my questions regarding return policy, and provided a full refund, less a very modest and fair restocking fee (I did use a couple pieces after all). I packed everything back up carefully and included all the original packaging materials and inserts, which helped. ... show more
