Don't know why Amazon keeps including all these other ladder reviews that has nothing to do with the ladder that is suppose to be getting the review! For the high price of this step ladder, I expected professional grade quality especially with an over bloated rating of 330 lbs. Rating wise, maybe 125 lbs or 150 lbs but not 200 lbs or 330 lbs for sure. We have a Cosco 2 step ladder rated for 200 lbs and it is much heavier duty and much more study with steps almost twice the size. The generic brand, Delxo's ladder was so flimsy I almost fell from the steps bowing, rocking and sliding side to side, and the ladder framing's flimsiness. I couldn't even fit my feet on the steps! My feet overhung the front and the back of the step and I had to put my feet together to fit since the step is very narrow side to side, just as it's very narrow front to back. What's scary is a very thin hook is what locks the ladder in it's open position. A very very THIN hook. If I would had seen a pic of that alone, I would had never had bought the ladder. No way can this thing support 330 lbs! For 1/2 the price you can get a name brand 2 step ladder that is proven, safe, and sturdy. I bought a Werner 3 step ladder for about 4 dollars more, and it's their top of the line professional grade steel ladder. It's rated for 250 lbs and it's rock stable. This seems to be a very sturdy ladder, made of quality materials. It came well packaged inside shrink wrap and a box from the manufacturer to protect the nice white paint job on the ladder. The hinges and brace bars are all bright chrome. For my own personal taste, the locking mechanism might be considered a little flimsy, but it still serves the purpose. You have to manually move the little locking hook every time you open and close the ladder; it does not snap into place automatically. Maybe it is considered safer because it forces you to do it manually. Warning: If you do not first move the safety hook out of the way and properly engage it manually when you open the ladder, you will gamble bending the hook itself when you put your weight on the ladder. This does not take away from the overall quality of the ladder, but be aware of it. After using it a few times, I find it to be a little heavier than I like. And the actual steps are smaller than I prefer. This is rated for 330 lbs. The next time I probably would go down to a 200-250 lb. safety rated ladder for a little lighter handling weight. ... show more

I was looking for a ladder where the steps are anti slip and a decent width size so the whole foot is resting on them. I also wanted something light, I could move around easily and anti slip on the bottom to protect the hardwood floors. This is the best ladder, it has everything I needed and is easy to fold. and light to carry. It is sometimes challenging to place the safety hook in place when using it. Ridiculous and dangerous. Once you step onthe last step and start doing whatever you were about to do, you’re in for a surprise. You never know when the latter support legs will slip and stretch before you. It is incredibly dangerous and could make you fall, even die. Super unstable, ridiculous design. Overall I like this ladder. I can easily change light bulbs in my 10' ceiling house. The hard plastic feet tend to slide a little when you are on hardwood floors - it feels like the ladder may be spreading out at the base when weight is put on it. It is slightly shaky, not bad, but enough to make you feel a little less than completely secure. It is light weight, particularly for a 4 step ladder. I wonder if i wrapped the feet with the stuff you put under floor mats to keep them from moving, if this would make the feet move less. I ordered this ladder because of its capacity to handle 300 pound loads and its wide treads. I am a big guy and I have balance problems because of damage to my inner ears. I feel safer using this ladder with its wider treads than my previous standard stepladder. This ladder is also lighter and folds into a much thinner profile so I can store in easily in my hall closet, which makes it much more accessible than my old ladder. My bigger problem is with the promised 2-day delivery, which turned into a 6-day delay that caused me significant problems with work that had to be done.
