  • Everything I'd hoped it would be
Color: Arctic Stainless Size: Without Soap Dispenser Style: Touch2O
For context, you need to know I didn't want a touch faucet. I wanted a faucet similar to the one in our previous house. With the water lever at the top of the faucet, where you could easiliy turn it on/off with your forearm when your hands were gucky. But that design seems to have gone off market. After struggling for a year with a kitchen faucet who's tiny little water lever was at the base and could only be turned with fingers, I talked my husband into this model. I was fed up with washing the lever after touching it with fingers covered in raw meat. (Who thought up that design?) After reading the reviews, this is the model I decided on. For function and looks. The reviews didn't answer one, super obvious, question I had. So I'll address it here. What I didn't understand, after reading reviews and watching video was: Was it possible to move the faucet head from one sink to another, without it turning on? It seemed like that must be possible, but no one was talking about that movement. Answer: Yes, you can move the faucet from one sink to another, without the water turning on. The water only turns on when the faucet is given a short touch. If held longer, such as the length of time required to move the faucet from one sink to the other, the water does not turn on. Installation: My husband had no problem installing. I was there to hold the faucet head while he tightened it under the sink. Other than that, he installed it easily by himself. The instructions were adequate. ... show more

  • So much better than I ever anticipated - LOVE IT!
Color: Matte Black Size: With Soap Dispenser Style: VoiceIQ
I bought this on Cyber Monday deals, I think, because I loved the look and prove was right. I had no idea how much I would love and use the "one touch" feature, now did I even notice it was a "smart" faucet. I just tell Alexa to have Delta fill my sink and can walk away while she does it. So helpful with small exact amounts too. Asking for 1/3 cup instead of relying on my bad eyes to get that in a glass measuring cup for a recipe is wonderful. Great for a busy cook who is running from sink to stove to frig. And love using my elbow or back of my hand to turn it on if my hands are full or greasy. Note - I had a plumber install it so I can't attest to the ease of installation, no kitchen faucet installation doesn't require some effort. My stars are just a guess on installation of you are handy. Highly recommend this faucet by Delta! ... show more

  • Easy install for the average homeowner
Color: Arctic Stainless Size: Without Soap Dispenser Style: Standard
First off, the hardware is great, but if you are installing it yourself, instead of hiring the plumber ... it's do-able. On the page for the faucet, it includes an installation video ... watch it before the faucet is delivered. It will give you insight into removing the old faucet. Removing the old faucet, plus the video will make installation a lot easier, but the installation instructions must also be used. The installation instructions had a tip that made bleeding the lines before hooking up the sprayer easy for an individual ... the video showed two people doing it. Also, reading the instructions helps you determine which items don't apply to your installation. I had several items left over that would be appropriate for someone switching from a three hole install to a single hole install. Since I was starting out with a single hole, those parts were not needed by me. One more thing, they provide a tool to tighten down the nut used to hold the faucet in place. Given the tight spaces involved, that tool made installation much easier ... wish I had something like that for the uninstall ... but the nut for the old faucet was a different size than the new faucet ... but you might hold off uninstall until you get your new faucet, you might get lucky and fine nut for both is the same size. Again, very pleased with the quality of the hardware, the instructions and video were lots of help, it took me about three hours total to uninstall the old faucet and install the new faucet ... I'm sure a plumber would have been much faster, but also quite expensive. ... show more

  • Treating it as a science / engineering experiment.... so far so good
Color: Arctic Stainless Size: Without Soap Dispenser Style: Touch2O
So I installed this faucet about 3 weeks ago and figured it was worth sharing thoughts about it. First off this is not an easy install, especially if you have a deep sink to begin with (if you don't have a moderate to deep sink, don't purchase as I can see where it would go all over the place). I'm pretty adept at plumbing (I've sweated my own pipes together when necessary and have put on cut offs that way as well). I'd rate it about a mid grade to hard install since you have to actually be able to reach up and tighten all the fixtures by hand - you can't use a plumbers wrench or anything else. It took me about 3-4 hours working solo (including the removal of the old faucet and temporary removal of the garbage disposal and it's reinstallation) - the install time could have been decreased by at least an hour had I had a helper. Why a science experiment? Because generally water and electricity don't mix and because I want to see just what part of this contraption fails first. That said, it's pretty neat in design and looks great! We chose this model as my wife saw it at a friends house and liked the styling and functionality. We cook a lot in our family and having slimy hands from xyz meat product / egg, it great that it can be tapped with clean forearm and voila! water to rinse and wash with. Parts of this kit that may cause some concern. They ask you to attach about a 2 inch piece of metal tubing directly to your shut off valve. Inside their is a (replaceable ?) plastic check valve with a screen on it. For those with lots of calcium deposits, I can see where this would make this product a no-go right off the bat. The calcium is going to build up on the screen and in the check valve and just not deliver adequate water pressure. If you have a water treatment system for your whole house, I think you'd be fine but you've been warned. The second aspect that I wasn't crazy about was that between the check valves and the faucet and then from the faucet to the control solenoid there are all plastic flexible piping. I'm assuming this is NOT the polybutylene know for failures, but I'd prefer solid copper tubing. This tubing is then pushed into the solenoid receiver and then held on by a plastic clip. MAYBE advances in technology have come a long way, MAYBE not. I'm a skeptic, but my guess is that the manufacturer expects that the styling on this faucet is going to go out of date before any major failures occur and/or you'll replace it before it leaks for some other reason. The faucet was supposed to come with a set of 6 AA batteries for the power source for the solenoid but 3 of my fell out of the packaging enroute to my house. I didn't complain to Amazon despite the box had been dinged up in shipment pretty bad, but all the other parts were intact and in great condition. What this did teach me is that instead of the 6 AA, you can replace them with C batteries in the battery pack. If I start to have a short life on the AA's I'll definitely move the the C's. I'll throw a post up when the batteries exhaust themselves. We are in a household of 4 so it gets plenty of use. Splash concerns - Our sink sits 7 1/2 inches below the edge of our countertop. It's stainless steel. If the faucet is turned on full blast we get some minor splash up around the sink. I'm messy when I was dishes and so this occurred even with my much shorter old faucet. If I'm really trying to keep the water in the sink, I just don't open the handle to full. At 3/4 there is plenty of water to work with and you don't get splash up. Although the neck of the faucet is listed as being I think 7 inches out , with the angle of the spray head, functionally water hits about 3-4 inches closer to the user. Other thoughts on the planning / install phase. You don't really need more space that about 1/2 from the faucet base to the back splash as the handle doesn't have the ability to turn back. It's range of motion is from vertical to about 90 degrees directly in front of the sink. The install instructions conveniently have pictures showing the install of this faucet as there being no sink present. Indeed if you haven't installed your sink yet, this install will be a breeze (maybe an 45 minutes) The length of time to get this done by a person working solo is tough because it's super difficult to tighten the plastic bolts sufficiently while still keeping the faucet aligned forward and in the right position. I ended up jamming some scrap wood between the faucet handle and the backsplash to hold it in place while I tighten the plastic nut under the sink holding the faucet base in place. I had an incredibly difficult time getting the nut hand tight enough so I actually placed two flat screw drivers on either side of the plastic nut and pushed on them to tighten the nut. This is where I could have used my extended plumbers wrench had the nut been appropriately shaped or made of something besides plastic. Once installed, my wife has been thrilled with it, so it almost got 5, but I'm sticking with 4 stars so far. I can't give it 5 due to the PIA it was to install and the significant number of plastic parts involved. It's a stylistic and functional faucet. The no touch feature does take some relearning on your part, but it's great not to have to touch the handle to turn it on. Time will tell on this fascinating experiment in science. ... show more
