Once they were in, the threads of the shower pipe wrapped a couple of times with Teflon thread seal tape, and the shower head screwed on, zero issues with any type of leak. This washer was too small for my original Teledyne Water Pik handheld shower purchased 25 years ago. Water began leaking between showerhead and hose and, while the washer I removed was not flat, I was hopeful this flat washer might work since comments said it fit in Water Pik shower heads--but not mine.
