I wasn't sure this was a good buy, as I can find suitcases for a fraction of this price at TJMaxx. However, I was sold on the style and really wanted to believe it was a higher quality, in spite of a few of the reviews I read on here. Well I'm here to tell you....this suitcase can take a beating! I dare anyone to drop their $99 bags from TJMaxx down an airport escalator and see what happens. This was a LOOONNNG escalator at Logan. My son was standing behind me, going down, so higher up. Right as we began our descent he somehow lost control of his bag. Mine was packed pretty heavy, so I had no safe choice when his hit mine other than to let it go. I watched it bounce down, and bounce it did, hitting one corner after another, with it's telescopic handle fully extended, helpless. It felt like slo-mo, as it took forever for it to land at the bottom. When I finally caught up to it at the bottom I found no dents, no cracks, handle fully intact, barely a scratch. I still can't believe it. I'm sold. Update: If the person who wrote the review titled "Terrible" just below mine would like to ship theirs to me instead of throwing it away, that'd be great! ;-) ... show more

I'm going to start by saying that this is certainly not an unbiased reviewed. By that I mean, I STAN DELSEY. I haven't had a product from them that I didn't like. I love the Delsey Chatelet collection and the only thing preventing me from collecting more pieces are the cost and the fact that I really don't need more luggage. Anyway, on to the review. I got the medium suitcase to match my 2-wheel underseater carry-on for a week-long work trip. I used the ziploc roll up travel bags and 3 small packing cubes and I was able to pack 2 dress, 1 pair of fleece lined leather leggings, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of boots, 2 sweaters, 3 long sleeve shirts, a toiletry bag, drawstring makeup bag (see this item: DeerHope Quick-Pull Drawstring Waterproof Organizer), and 5 pairs of socks and undergarments. Most of these items fit on one side of the suitcase and I had room for souvenirs on the way back. If you have the underseater bag, or the Delsey Chatelet backpack, either of the items will slide right onto the bar for easy stacking and rolling through the airport. The lock is easy to set and comes with instructions. It did receive a couple of minor scratches on this first trip but I haven't seen any major dings or cracks. One of my travel companions, who used a different brand hardside luggage, actually had her suitcase cracked with a large hole in it. It isn't particularly heavy but I also wouldn't consider this a lightweight bag. It is a bit heavier than my soft suitcase of similar dimensions so that's something to consider. When it comes down to style and practicality, I would recommend. Its a gorgeous suitcase and if you use packing cubes or vacuum seal bags, you can really fit a lot into it. ... show more

Except for the way the zipper runs, I really like it. It is very syilish. It is pricey though. I do not think its quality is that much higher than other brands.

My fiancé and I first saw this luggage in a department store when we were doing our wedding registry. She instantly fell in love with the luggage and I was impressed with how well constructed and durable every bag was—despite the designer style. Plus, the luggage has a lot of cool modern features. Also, I thought the bags were very well priced considering that they felt like elite luggage such as Tumi or LV. We eventually kept walking looking at other things, and knowing that she had a birthday coming up, and our wedding and honeymoon towards the end of the year, I decided that it would be a perfect gift as we also have to international trips planned for 2023. I am mediately was able to pull up the luggage for an even better price on Amazon and decided to pull the trigger. Everything put together in the photo was around $700, but I still saved around $100 not doing it at that department store.
