I needed a "hearing amplifier" quickly and at low cost. My hearing aids from Costco had to be sent back to be reset after three years of hard use. I needed a temporary replacement for up to two weeks. A set of Dellona D10 hearing devices cost me $60 and were available overnight through Amazon. For basic sound amplification, they work very well. The D10 devices do not have all the features of my $1,500 hearing aids, such as being able to adjust their settings through an app on my smartphone and automatic gain reduction for limit really loud sounds. But I can hear and understand what my spouse is saying, and I can listen comfortably to TV. In fact, I have to use a relatively low volume setting on the D10s with the maximum "noise reduction" setting, as well as one of the provided alternate size "ear plugs" to avoid excessive volume and feedback. I will use my fancy $1,500 hearing aids when I get them back, but the D10s are a great interim solution or substitute, and not just because they are inexpensive. ... show more

These work better than the hearing aids the VA gave me. Take notice, Veterans Administration! First, the user instructions: There are some "errors", some confusing instructions. The text says to roll the volume wheel down to increase volume. The correct way to increase volume is to roll the wheel down or toward the back of your head to increase the volume and up or toward your face to decrease the volume. I know this sounds confusing, but there are numbers on the wheel, and as you roll the wheel toward the back of your head you are rolling the wheel so higher numbers become visible which increases the volume. Before use, instructions say to charge the devices for 5-6 hours. One of them took around NINE hours to charge. I thought it would never charge up. It also mentions a blue light when charging, but there is no blue light. A green light illuminates during charging and turns off when completely charged. To turn the units on, "move the switch to NO". There is no "NO". I think it was supposed to say "ON". To activate a warranty, it gives a web address, but I get a window that says, "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead." There is no web address as is given in the instructions. For support, "support@dellona.co" is not correct. I had to add "com" to email support. I sent support an email detailing these problems and asking how to activate the warranty. The warranty is for a lifetime, not with a specific end date. It turns out the email comes back as "undeliverable". Amazon customer service told me all support for these items are handled by Amazon, so that is why you can't contact the mfr support. Once the units were fully charged and mounted on my ears, wow--! They really amplify sounds so much you have to turn down the volume. The units come with a case, about ten different size silicone tips to fit any size ear, a lanyard, a charging cable with two leads to charge both devices at the same time, and an AC plug allowing you to charge either with just USB or directly from an outlet, and a cleaning brush. As I stated at the beginning, these work better than the ones the VA gave me. For the price, I am pleased with how well the devices work, so this is a good deal. You do not have to buy hearing aid batteries. They are rechargeable. There are two colors to choose: beige and dark blue. I would give a five star rating, except for the web address error and confusing, contradictory instructions. All in all--I consider this a good purchase. ... show more

UPDATE: These hearing amplifiers only lasted a year, and I paid SIXTY DOLLARS for them on Amazon. You can get them for $18 on Temu. Let me first say that these are HEARING AMPLIFIERS. They are not hearing aids. They have some noise cancelation, but it is not the best. Their volume is incredibly good. They amplify everything, and it can be a little disorientating for my father. My fathers hearing was getting so bad that we literally had to shout in his face for him to hear us. He was getting upset, and depressed, that he couldn't hear. The television was always blaringly loud on 50 - 80 volume, and he still couldn't make out normal conversation. Sadly, we are a low income family with Free Healthcare from Affordable Healthcare Act. They do not cover hearing aids, so we would have had to pay over $3000 for a pair of them for my father. Knowing this, I purchased this amplifiers due to how good their reviews were, and I was not disappointed. Now my father can hear us speaking to him in a normal voice, he can talk on the phone, listen to the tv at low volume, and even hear us talking in another room. However, they AMPLIFY EVERYTHING. Every little sound, plates hitting the table, the dog barking, crumpling up paper, et cetera. So they take some getting used to. He takes them out while washing the dishes, or doing loud things like vacuuming or mowing the lawn. But otherwise, he loves and enjoys them, and I would buy them again if they broke or got lost. Their noise cancelation of background sounds could be better. But that's something that has to advance with technology over time. ... show more

I have two pairs of professional hearing aids that broke at the same time. One uses batteries and the other set charges. I was under warranty so I sent both sets back, but it left me deaf. So I purchased these hearing aids in February of this year. I’m very happy with them. Once you get them adjusted to suit you with the proper ear plugs, you can hear well. I’m clinically deaf and struggle all the time in difficult situations. These do not have Bluetooth technology, but I have used my phone speaker and I can communicate very well with them. They are big for my ears, but I really don’t care because I can still hide them. The price was great! The last a long time also before charging. I can hear my TV very well also. My expensive hearing aids came back, but I keep this one in my purse charged up just in case something goes wrong. If you have a short hair cut or short hair style, you may not be able to hide them. I also like the fact that you have control with them and not artificial intelligence. I highly recommend them for the price. You get two hearing aids and these are my own earbuds. They come with a pack of them, but I like mines. ... show more
