I have a black and decker which is similar in price but man can I say this drill is so much better. The power it has is incredible compared to it. It has a metal chuck which is great I hate ones that are plastic. It has variable speeds/gears , it also has a hammer drill feature for masonry which is incredible. You also get a whole starter kit of bits aswell. For this price you can’t beat it. You get two batteries so you always have a charge. I’ve drill Aton of holes with it even using my 1 1/2” wood drill bit and it just goes right through the wood like it’s nothing. Low cost high performance. Would recommend! ... show more

Buy for the drill not the accessories. The drill has served me well on several concrete and wood projects now and is fast and powerful! 2 speeds(hi & low) are very necessary for certain tasks. Cons: the bit accessories included are WORTHLESS. Very bad quality so don't expect anything there. Just buy bits needed separately and you'll be happy. Pros: includes a case that is handy, multiple speeds (plus hi n low), hammer and drill settings. 5 stars if the accessory bits were usable for even 1 project. ... show more

The keyless chuck look really nice, but fails to do what it suppose to do: hold the damned bit. Concrete, wood drill bits as well as screw bits do not stay put for more that few secs. I keep tighten up the chuck out of frustration.

    • Not worth the money.
Very disappointed. Returned after short use and bought a Dewalt. It's overall weak, the supplied drills aren't worth a thing and it's not very useful as a screwdriver. The screw that's holding the chuck got loose after 2 uses. I did manage to screw it back, but it tells a lot about the product's quality. Do yourself a favor and put a little bit more money into a real brand. Pros: - Relatively lightweight for a hammer drill. - Cheap Cons: - Deko's most powerful hammer drill, still not nearly as strong as Dewalt or Milwaukee products. - The supplied drill bits are weak. The metal drilling ones broke after trying to drill a thin (~2-3mm) aluminum plate. - The assembly isn't good. The screw that's holding the chuck got loose after a few uses. - The variable speed trigger isn't very good. The lowest speed it allows is still pretty fast for gentle screwdriving, which makes it practically unusable as a screwdriver. ... show more

    • Very disappointed - Two Significant Issues - Quality and Customer Service
Used it around the house for drilling several holes and as a screwdriver a few times. Mostly sat in a garage drawer for just over a year. Went to use it again as a screwdriver worked fine for the first few screws, and it just quit working. Customer service led me on for many messages (as though they cared) and then just stopped responding. Never again. ... show more
