What's the point of advertising continuous drain port if the included hose (and another I tested) have to bend so sharply from the tank that it kinks and cannot drain? Edit: +1 star cause customer service was friendly and refunded me. I continue to have issues with the drain. I cut a portion of the bottom to let the hose have more room but it's still a tight fit and twice now the hose has slipped off and I had water all over when I checked it. I've tried a hose clamp and that didn't help, now I'm trying to glue the damn thing in place. TLDR if you want if for continuous drain purposes find a different product. I bought this small dehumidifier for the bedroom in my basement. I tried it for over 2 days now and found that it worked quite well. First of all, this little machine is very quiet, particularly with the night mode. This makes it perfect for bedroom use. The dehumidifier is pretty slim for space-saving which is good for use in any small spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. The additional features are also well-designed including auto-stop, automatic drainage, and color-changing light.     • Compact and quiet, fills slowly
I had a much larger one of these back when I had bigger houses and it worked nicely to help cool the air in summer and get rid of moisture in winter. I thought it was time to get a smaller one for my apartment as the summer humidity was setting in. I find drier air in summer helps it feel cooler and maybe I can ease up on the AC a hair. This unit is very quiet. It has a "day/Night" setting that is basically High and Medium respectively. It's been going in my 56% humidity apartment for over a week and is only about 1/2 full. I think it's too small for my space. I knew that based on it's square foot rating, but still thought it would make a decent dent in the humidity. It really hasn't. I'm not quite sold on the effectiveness of this unit. Perhaps it could be OK for a big walk in closet if you were concerned with mold. If my opinion changes I'll come back and update things. ... show more

With summer finally here, you can feel the wetness/humidity in the air. I placed this in the muggiest place in the house. Surprisingly, it's not the bathroom but close by. This area was weirdly constructed so it traps in daytime heat. Even on the muggiest day, with the dehumidifier, this area is not as humid as other areas. It has 3 buttons: power, day/night mode, and change night light color. Apparently, I have night mode on all day (lol). It's fun to change the color whenever I feel like it. Dehumidifier works, it sucks in moisture from the air. It took a while for the bucket to fill. When it was full, I couldn't tell if it stopped collecting (machine was noticeably on) but the water level didn't increase for two days (which is not normal). When I pressed on the power button, the machine did get louder so maybe it did turn off. We like it so much, we are looking to add another unit (possibly a large one in the hallway for the bedrooms); it definitely makes summer heat more tolerable. Note: we rarely use A/C because we have dual window fans that pushes inside air to outside and vice versa but it doesn't remove the humidity. This might be the secret to tolerable summer nights and lower electric bills! ... show more

    • This is a Dehumidifier, but several differences than description
The item that I received is different than what is pictured in the listing and has a few feature differences. I will start off with saying that the dehumidifier that I received is for small spaces. I am using this in tandem with another similarly sized small dehumidifier, and a larger unit in a bigger room during the recent heat wave with higher humidity in our old farmhouse. After running for approximately 48 hours in our kitchen, the catch tank was approximately half full, so it is seemingly pulling water out of the air. Since the item did not match the picture in appearance, I wondered what else was different. I measured the amount of water collected to give the appearance of a half-full tank and it was give-or-take 16oz. To confirm my suspicions, I filled the large measuring cup that I used up to 32 oz and dumped that into the catch tank which filled it nearly to the point of overflowing, so there is no way that what I received has a 70 oz. tank. The item I received also did not include a drain hose or any place to connect one if there was one. Does it work? Seemingly yes. But it is not as large as described and does not meet all of the described features. It will work fine for small spaces or in tandem with other dehumidifiers placed in various rooms of the house. Overall it was not what I was expecting, and was not what was described hence my lowered stars. ... show more
