These are great brushes for waxing your own skis or snowboard, but the instructions are pretty much useless. I use the brass brush to prep the base after cleaning and before waxing. The nylon brush is used after applying wax and scraping it. Which gets me to the horsehair brush - it's super hard! I think its more like a boar bristle brush and not a soft horse hair brush. I am not using it - it seems about as hard as the nylon bristle brush. ... show more
