I had to downgrade it from 5 stars because it got lost in shipping and was about a week late and one of the shades has a dent in it, I was able to get most of the dent out just using my hands but a small crease remains. They are non-velcro'd shades, one complete shade and i only mention that because the last lamp i purchased from brightech the shade had to clipped and velcro'd on. They did however come very well and securely packaged. The color states emerald blue but I have a teal runner on the table in the picture and when the light is on it is bet close in color. It is slightly darker without the light on but if I had to categorize it is is more of a deep teal. The on/off switch is on the socket. Very simple to assemble and I couldn't be happier with the overall effect. ... show more

This set of lamps was for a guest room. I needed a deep teal and this was a good price. The packaging was the most difficult part of getting these lamps put together and on the bedside. (I was covered with styrofoam that sticks to everything by the time I had them out. They really are beautiful and I was very pleased. The lamp shades are of a good quality and work well. My only disappointment was that where it was from. It was made in China and I am not critical of the workmanship of China, (it is good) but I do not like to support any business or government that is censoring, controlling, and forcing it's regime on an unwilling people. Unfortunately it is hard to avoid in the market today, just as we in America have 'Tech Titans' doing the same. ... show more

    • Be careful while assembling

Obviously the lamps are pretty delicate. I accidentally broke one trying to assemble it. Assembly requires you to attach the "head" of the lamp, as well as the cord, through the tapered end of the vase part. This part is made with thin glass, so be very careful when sticking everything in.

I love the looks of these lamps, they are a gorgeous teal blue crackled glass. I took a star off because our “like new” warehouse deal lamps came in a battered box and dented lamp shades. They are on the backside so we decided to keep the lamps instead of dealing with the hassle of sending them back and waiting the 1-4 weeks for new ones to be sent. ... show more

The lamps are pretty, look just like the photo. However, I was amazed at the small size of the shipping box. They accomplished this by shipping the lamps unassembled, except for the wire running through the base. It was a bit tricky getting the lightbulb receptacle to sit properly in the collar that attaches to the wiring. Also, the lamp shades arrived slightly dented. ... show more

Packaging was awful. Styrofoam is bad enough as it is, but this stuff was broken into bits with little pieces and particles sticking to everything- EVERYTHING! When taking the lamp parts out of the box, styrofoam bits stuck to my arms, clothes, carpet. Both shades are damaged and unrepairable. Lamp hardware must be screwed into the base, which is made very difficult due to the fact the cord is already permanently threaded through. This means twisting the hardware onto the base is pretty difficult because the cord itself is nearly immobile. These lamps look nice, but they are not worth the effort. I dislike that the manufacturer chose to use messy and environmentally unfriendly Styrofoam, when more responsible choices are available. After unpacking and assembling, I had to spend 30 minutes just cleaning up the mess made by the packaging. ... show more
