Description

In DEATHLOOP, two rival assassins are trapped in a mysterious timeloop on the island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day for eternity. As Colt, the only chance for escape is to end the cycle by assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. Learn from each cycle - try new paths, gather intel, and find new weapons and abilities. Do whatever it takes to break the loop. IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED... DIE, DIE AGAIN: Every new loop is an opportunity to change things up. Use the knowledge you gain from each attempt to change up your playstyle, stealthily sneaking through levels or barreling into the fight, guns-blazing. In each loop you’ll discover new secrets, gather intel on your targets as well as the island of Blackreef, and expand your arsenal. Armed with a host of otherworldly abilities and savage weaponry, you’ll utilize every tool at your command to execute takedowns that are as striking as they are devastating. SINGLE PLAYER GAMEPLAY INJECTED WITH DEADLY MULTIPLAYER: Are you the hero or the villain? You’ll experience DEATHLOOP’s main story as Colt, hunting down targets across the island of Blackreef to break the loop and earn your freedom. All the while, you’ll be hunted by your rival Julianna, who can be controlled by another player. So if you’re feeling devious, you, too, can step into Julianna’s stylish sneakers and invade another player’s campaign to kill Colt. The multiplayer experience is completely optional, and players can choose to have Julianna controlled by AI within their campaign. THE ISLAND OF BLACKREEF – PARADISE OR PRISON: Arkane is renowned for magnificently artistic worlds with multiple pathways and emergent gameplay. DEATHLOOP will present a stunning, retro-future, 60s-inspired environment, that feels like a character within itself. While Blackreef may be a stylish wonderland, for Colt it is his prison, a world ruled by decadence where death has no meaning, and delinquents party forever while keeping him captive.

  • It is a good game, maybe a little hard
I have just started playing it, and I already like it very much. It is not an easy game, you just can't go and shoot to everyone :) Also playing shooter game using PS5 controller is a little harder than using a mouse and a keyboard on a computer. Previous game I tried to play was Final Fantasy XVI, and I think my expectations for it were too high. The Deathloop is not like this - it is a lot harder in good sense, you need to think what you are doing and there are no any long and boring cut scenes :)). ... show more

  • Got thrown for a loop 🔂
Death loop was either the Best or Worst game of 2021 depending on who you ask! Gameplay was nothing special to write home about but the graphics and art style was off the charts! I recommend getting in the loop 🔁🔂!

  • Clever, engaging, novel, and fun!
The game starts with a cold open - you're dropped into a situation you don't understand, and you need to make sense of things. If you have a low tolerance for ambiguity, this can be a challenge, but it's absolutely worth it. The game is fun immediately, even if you're not quite sure about the big picture, and as things come into focus it gets better and better. A fabulous thing about this game is that the big picture keeps expanding, and you have more and more reason and context for everything, making it more and more fun to play. The designers keep it fresh and rewarding, so each situation and location feels new and fun to explore and master. The game exploits its unusual structure brilliantly. The writing and voice acting is top of the line, and the level design is challenging but never unfair. This is a one-of-a-kind game, and deeply rewarding. ... show more

  • BioShock + Majora's Mask + Fallout
Most of the people that don't like this game seem to have given up pretty quickly. It's a very different type of game with a lot of detail and unique mechanics. It's takes a little time to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's worth it! There's a lot more going on in this game than appears on the surface, with multiple different ways to accomplish what you need. It caters to just about any play style, so whether you're a guns-blazing type or a stealth and snipe player, or someone who likes to hack devices for a strategic ambush, you can. Highly recommend if you want to challenge yourself to learn something very unique and satisfying! ... show more

  • A solid game dragged down by a horrible bug that will probably never be fixed.
If you imagine that the people who made Dishonored made a game that combined elements from Hitman, Bioshock, and Outer Wilds, you'd be right on the money. It's a fun game with serviceable shooting, the usual array of FPS guns, and a few fun powers. The timeloop mechanic is cool and gives you both opportunities to experiment and things to discover. However, the game still has at least one gamebreaking bug. Sometimes, completely at random, you will be unable to exit a menu. There's nothing you can do but restart the game. The game does not autosave during missions, so it's possible to lose hours of progress to this bug. It's completely unacceptable and it drags the whole game down. This bug still existed as of March 2022, so I don't expect it to ever be fixed. ... show more
