    • You will need inserts
In my case the previous owner had installed new OEM mounts, so I had in my possession the new round mushroom shaped steel inserts that go between the mount and the body. But if your old mounts are rotted and corroded then you will need new inserts because they do not come with this kit for some reason. The instructions call for these inserts. Big washers or no inserts at all might work on this 1" lift kit, because there won't be much flexing, and the poly material is a bit more rigid than OEM rubber. Aside from that, this is a good kit that went on fairly easy once I got the holes lined up. My tub was completely off the frame, but if you are just doing a straight replace, the instructions say do one side at a time so bolt hole alignment is maintained. The dingleberry that owned my jeeo before me saw fit to jump and roll it more than once. The body was smashed down around the frame rails. So I bought this 1" body lift to raise the body back up off the chassis. Well, turns out I had to rebuild half the body mounts too, but this kit worked great! Would have gone 5 stars but the printed directions do not tell you how to install the front grill/radiator support mounts in good detail. During installation the process should follow the instructions closely, but take you time and double check your progress for proper clearance. Once installed I was able to notice a big difference in certain rattling that was corrected due to worn out OEM body mounts. ... show more

Installation requires a bit of cleverness (youtube is your friend) especially for radiator dropping (nothing included for this) and the front end bushings betweem body and frame. Other than that very worth it for the price

Quality parts, easy install and it actually made a noticeable difference in the vibration inside the Jeep, to be fair though my stock bushings were shot. Be careful though, if you want LESS body roll for offroading stability, don't get this kit, get one with hard pucks.

    • Instructions are worthless, bushings are great
OK, I will admit I am no mechanic. Having said that, I will say the instructions are truly worthless. The position list has three pictures to show which part goes in which position on the frame of the Jeep, but there are no pictures of each part with an associated part number. All three pictures are exactly the same, and do not show the correct shape of each bushing. Working alone it took me 5 hours to install, mostly due to the poor instructions, plus I had a LOT of extra parts that did not fit anywhere on my Jeep. Yes I checked with a mechanic, and I have a complete lift kit on my vehicle. You will need the extra steel sleeve offered when you order. End result was excellent. The ride was improved drastically, much softer. Clear and easy to understand instructions with good pictures would have made the install pretty easy, that was the difference between 3 and 5 star rating. Ended up finding out later the extra parts were for a CJ. ... show more
