i've heard a lot of good things about this brand, but i had not tried anything from them until now. honestly, i'm not even sure that i've heard of them until this product. i was experiencing some sort of red, rough areas on my scalp that would come & go but when it came back it would be worse each time. i thought that this sounded like just what i needed. it did do a nice job on the majority of my scalp, just not those problem areas. thankfully i'm past that issue now, but it was a bit of a bummer that this did not help in that situation. this product is easy to apply, it's not drying, and even with my sensitive skin- i did not have any sort of reaction. ... show more

My scalp has been so dry and itchy because of the winter weather and this worked nicely. I liked how it absorbed nicely into my scalp without making my hair oily or flat. It helped with the itching, too. Not sure if it would work against dandruff (I didn’t have that) but it definitely helped with dry and itchy. ... show more

This product stopped the unexplained itching of my scalp. I had been experiencing an itchy scalp with a clean scalp, so I didn’t quite understand why I was itching. There was no visible indication on my scalp of why I would be itching. I use this product directly in the areas where I experienced itching which was just random spots on my scalp. I even use the product in areas where my hair is thinning. I massaged it into the scalp really well so it would stimulate hair growth. I am not sure 100% why I ordered this besides the fact that I love Davines. I was thinking it might help with scalp health, therefore help with hair health and growth, tho I don't think that's what it is for. The serum is easy to use and doesn't make my hair greasy or difficult to work with. The formula is nice and smells good without being overpowering. ... show more

    • Hydration? It is Wet...
OK, as far as hydration goes, this is in fact... wait for it.... Wet. I can't really speak to any sort of long term hydration effect it's offering since the top of my head is really difficult for me to look at. However, what it does do really well is to reduce (significantly) the itch on the top of my head which I get from wearing a hat during the day while working outside. The itch was gone yesterday in something on the order of less than ten minutes and has been gone so far today still. Digging that a bunch I am. However, there is this one thing. The price is not inexpensive at all. $41 for 3.38 ounces. And, I have this one issue regarding the ingredients/instructions: The instructions and ingredients are in a plethora of languages on a small bottle in a small space on that small bottle. Using a magnifying glass was the only way to get a good enough view of the ingredients of the product to figure out whether or not I wanted to put it on my head. The ingredients list is at best somewhat confusing since it lists what are apparently only the Latin names for a lot of the ingredients. That makes some sense perhaps since it is made in Italy though? There is a QR code on the bottle, however, I don't choose to use QR codes from companies I can't verify the source of the material from (very hackable through the QR code implementation) The bottom line is that this did fix the itchy thing going on, is pricey and seems to work well. This scalp treatment Works good. Davines products are of high-quality. This bottle will last a while if you don’t have super thick hair. A little bit goes a long way. The results are not super noticeable right away. It does have a smell it’s not overpowering. The price is a little high for how small the bottle is but it is quality ingredients. ... show more

    • It does take the itch away
I've been using it to relieve very bad scalp itch through the winter and it has helped mitigate the itch quite a bit. I'd say I have less dandruff now as well. I'm combining it with other products but I can say for sure this is the one providing the soothing to my itchy scalp.

Thin clear liquid product that’s easy to use and has almost no smell, I faintly smell something but it doesn’t smell bad. They should have included a readable pamphlet because box and bottle have very small words that are very close together which make them a strain to read. I applied this treatment to a very itchy dandruff filled scalp at 8:20 a.m. and by 10:20 a.m scalp was itchy again. After applying scalp stayed wet and hair was placed in a ponytail(this may have increased chance of itchiness reoccurring sooner). ... show more

    • A bit pricey but cools irritated scalp, easy application
It absorbs fast into the scalp which is nice and there isn't a pungent smell or anything. My irritated scalp felt cool upon application but I will still have to see if it helps remove the issue or not.

I'm on a journey to a healthy scalp and healthy hair. I have bad dandruff leaves my head raw but this soothes the itch and makes my scalp feel nice I haven't felt a residue or bad texture since using I have no complaints.

I expected this to apply more like a leave in conditioner but it honestly felt a lot like a vinegar rinse. I get a lot of allergies when it comes to hair products and especially after dying my hair it's usually left feeling irritated and dry. I sectioned my hair out in about six parts and sprayed about six inches away from my scalp and massaged in with my fingers on damp hair. I have used Davine's products for at least 5 years now (I started with their sea salt spray which is wonderful for curl definition but very hard to find these day) so when I saw this elevating scalp recovery treatment I know that I needed to try it. I have so many hair concerns I don't even know where to start. My hair is thin, it gets brittle, flat, it's very frizzy during colder months of the year and on and on. All that being said, it is very hard to find a product that adresses those issues while keeping my strands looking hydrated and refreshed all year round. I had been looking for something to address all of those issues and it seems how stumbled upon something promising! I immediately liked the easy application bottle of this spray with the extended nozzle. For application, basically I just hold different areas of my hair up in the air and spray this directly on my scalp. It feels good As far as working? I would say that it does. I applying it directly to the roots I am giving my hair fighting chance of having plenty of volume while not overdoing it with multiple product. This is what I needed to have healthy looking hair year round. Okay. My hair stylist tells me that scalp treatments are GREAT and that she recommends them to all of her clients. Huh. So what does Davines Naturaltech ELEVATING Scalp Recovery Treatment actually DO? Apparently I'm supposed to get really excited about scalp treatments! Davines is absolutely one of my favorite brands. I have used Davines for years, and I have several of their products that I can't be without. So it was a no-brainer to try one of their scalp treatments. I have a sensitive, itchy scalp, even if it's not itchy most of the time. So what did this end up achieving when I applied it? Well, it felt good when I applied it. And then...it had still felt good when I applied it. As would most liquids have felt good when I applied them. A light rush of hydration on my scalp as I massaged it in...what then? I don't know. I will continue to try this several times a week, in pursuit of a healthy scalp and healthy hair. I have dry hair and scalp, so I would like to avoid any itchiness or dryness this winter. ... show more
