    • No moisturizing ability whatsoever.
Looks right, but smell seems different. More importantly this jar didn’t moisturize my hair whatsoever which begs the question, is this stuff a knockoff? Gave them the benefit of the doubt until I compared to the jar I have from my salon, and left with this product isn’t legit.

    • For me this conditioner is a MIRACLE!
I am getting a bit older and in the past 1-2 years my hair has become much drier and more difficult to handle and style - I also color it, so that is a problem as well (as far as the condition of my hair). I have tried Redken Heavy Cream products (which are pretty good) and I have switched to an alcohol-free hair gel as well - all of this helped somewhat over the past 18 months or so, but still my hair has become more and more course and frustrating to style, and I thought the situation was pretty hopeless and I would just have to accept it. Honestly, I have gone through countless other products trying to remedy the problem. Then I got a sample of this product in my Ipsy or Birchbox (can't remember which) - it took me a few months to get around to trying it, and all i can say is WOW!! My hair is suddenly softer and more moisturized, and the texture is truly like it was 10+ years ago...for real. The only problem was that when I signed on to amazon to buy it I saw reviews that it was a knockoff...so I went on the company website to find out the best and safest way to buy it. I called the company and the girl who answered the phone was very helpful and explained that they now supply amazon directly so that there will not be any question of the authenticity of the product. Based on this info I bough the product - and it is the exact same and as good as the sample I got. I am so very happy and thankful for this product and how it has instantly improved my hair's texture and luster...i was about to accept the challenges of middle-aged hair but now i am beyond relieved and thankful...truly. I don't know what they put in this product to moisturize hair but I am going to ask my salon to start carrying it - even if they don't I now know where to get it. Thank you than you thank you....! Truly if you have dry & color-treated hair this will make a huge difference. I just saw yesterday that I have a shampoo sample as well so i will give that a try next.... ... show more

    • The best for gray hair
I have been using this product for over 2 years. I constantly get compliments on my hair. The creamy conditioner I leave in for at least 10 minutes while in the bath. Gladly will I wait for this product to come in the mail. I cannot recommend Davines enough. I am so glad I happened on it.

It's not as moisturizing as the nourishing hair pak, but it's close. I am growing out my gray and have almost blond highlights that were turning brassy from the sun. My natural color is dark brown. This brightened both the gray and the highlights, with no adverse effects on the rest of my hair. I still use Davines nourishing hair pak every third or fourth time I wash for deep conditioning, so I have't noticed any drying effects like some of the other reviews mentioned. If they sold the scent as perfume, I would buy it by the gallon. It's very soothing and not overpowering like some Davines scents. ... show more

Best conditioner for blond highlights. I have used others, including shampoos like joico, that stain your tub and bath towels. The conditioner has more pigment than the shampoo and softens your hair, so I take care of two things at once which saves money! It does not stain your tub, towels, and makes your blond highlights stay blond. Best one on the market I think. ... show more

    • Pretty darn good!
I was recommended Davines Alchemic Conditioner by my hairdresser about a year ago to keep my blonde locks light and bright while waiting for my next balayage treatment. Honestly, this is probably my favorite conditioner yet. No, not probably, it IS my favorite. I do use this in addition to its counterpart the Davines Alchemic Shampoo BUT it has done a great job so far keeping my hair hydrated and pretty darn silky, and I have very thick hair that tends to friz. That being said, while this is my favorite conditioner IN GENERAL I am not totally convinced that it does exactly what a purple conditioner is supposed to do, i.e. enhancing the blonde, natural or cosmetically colored hair. I would buy this to condition not for enhancement purposes. Also, if I were to change one thing about the conditioner, it would be the bottle. It is a little difficult to unscrew and then screw the top back on once your hand has conditioner in it and you're all wet. ... show more

I always use a purple shampoo or conditioner and like how it makes my Platinum hair look white. I also love Davines products. But not this one. I have to use both shampoo and conditioner and leave them on for several minutes in order to remove yellow tones in my hair.     • Nice toning conditioner!
This conditioner works to tone brassy colors out of dyed blonde or grey hair. It’s a good size jar and lasts a while. I have fine hair and I felt that it conditions just the right amount. I really used a generous amount and left it in my hair for 10 minutes. I use purple shampoos and conditioners once or twice per week. I used to use them more, but found out that they can dull your color. This does have a strange smell, somewhat chemical, but it does not linger.
