I was hesitant in that this camera cost me $20. Sar far it's met expectations for the price point. I bought it to keep an eye on my new driver in the household as well as some insurance against a he said/she said. I've had a few more expensive cameras before and this isn't far off. The picture is reasonable. You're not going to read license plates but I wasn't expecting to. I waited until the SD card had filled and looped to make this review as I've had others that would get stuck once the card was full. No issues here. Easy setup. No weird controls to figure out. It's pretty intuitive. Long cord supplied for power to a 12V power socket. I routed mine to the fuse box for switch on power as my 12V socket has always on power. various stick on cable holders to route the cord. Suction cup or 3M, more permanent sticky mount. I liked this option. I hate suction cups falling off in extreme heat or cold. All in all, I'm pleased. I'll give it 6 months and if all is good, I'll probably get another for the summer car. ... show more

This camera does much of what is promises to do. It's just missing some features, I didn't know I needed. Firstly, it turns off pretty quickly once the car is in idol or parked with power off. It surprises me that it will also do this in ACC mode. It's also not obvious how to force it to record/save. This concerns me, because I definitely want to make sure it's recording if I get pulled over for a traffic stop. (Video and Audio). The night vision is okay, but not amazing. Though given that you should have lights on when driving at night, it does an alright job. The mounting kit is great, and it's suction cup has stayed attached for more than a week without any adjustments needed. The audio recording does not appear to work. Note: when it says you need to format a card in the directions. It means put a 32gig card in the camera, and choose format from the camera menu. You do not need to format on a computer ahead of time. ... show more

Excellent dash cam for the price. The image quality is sharp and It records HD smoothly. It has a 170° wide lens and a good night shot! I have used it on the road for 10 days with no problems. The thing I like the most about this cam is It's light weight and compact. My old dashcam was very heavy so it would fall off my windshield every 3 to 5 days. This one stays put and is easy to hide! It starts recording automatically when you start the engine or power it on and the osd menu is simple to setup. I tested the motion detection parking monitor feature with no issues or errors. It also has a screen saver feature that you can set to turn on or off the lcd but continue recording for night driving. I haven't used the G sensor yet. The package includes a user manual, USB cable, car charger and a windshield mounting bracket. I love it and would definitely recommend it. Best dash cam I've used so far! ... show more

Addendum - update I sent email but no reply from GOODTS yet ----the little plastic slot piece that holds the mount to the camera broke 6 mos after I bought the cam. This is a trivial but necessary piece attached to the ball. Goodts please contact me rogjack6112@comcast.net and send me a replacement. I love the camera otherwise. thanks I bought this small 1080 camera to replace a prior small forward camera that had ceased working recently. It is mainly for animal strikes or document an accident. This little camera came with plenty of wire to run in the liner and dash so setup was very easy. The LCD picture is striking but I haven't taken the memory card in to the computer yet to see the video. Very good for the price. Navigating the functions is easy also. I was a bit worried about this purchase bc it seemed too cheap to be good. Leave it to China to make a $30 dash cam that works brilliantly. At first glance I thought the screen was cracked but it turned out to just be the film over the screen. The only thing you need to worry about is simply remembering to order a 32GB class 10 micro SD card. I recommend ordering the one with your purchase on Amazon but you can find one at HEB, Target, Best Buy, etc. Other than that, it’s simple plug n play. Insert the micro SD card, plug the power cord into the camera/car lighter, slide the camera into the suction cup bracket, clean your windshield (where you will attach your suction cup), press cup to windshield and push down clamp to make a taut seal. When you turn your battery on, the camera will turn on automatically. The blinking red light lets you know it’s recording. It’s already preset to “continuous loop”, it’ll record over any videos that you haven’t saved in perpetuity. It also records sound, and has great night vision and HD quality vid. This camera is definitely small. Other reviewers said it was smaller than a credit card but I was still surprised at how small it was. I have it set on the highest resolution and the night time videos are grainy. The low light (dusk or dawn) and daylight are much better. I do like the light compensation setting that adjusts automatically. It's fairly easy to use. I do wish it had a LCD dimmer. I would like to leave the screen on all the time but at night it is too bright and distracting. It does have the option to turn the screen off after 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes. All in all, not a bad little camera for the price but you get what you pay for. UPDATE: After a year the power button no longer works. I have to unplug it from power port. I got this for my back car window. At first it didn't want to stick to the car window. It kept falling off. I googled how to fix the suction cup and it worked! This fix to get your suction cup works like this....bring a pot of water to a boil. Then turn off the heat. When the water stops boiling...dip the suction into the pot of hot water for 60 seconds. It will make the suction cup look wilted after this but it will stick to your window! After I did this.. The suction cup never popped off my window and is still sticking to my window! ... show more
