Ok! Hello everyone. I've read some of the reviews here and I was pretty concerned buying this. Let me give my 2 cents on how I've experienced this unit... Also something to consider is that every single OEM replacement unit that I browsed here on Amazon and eBay had very notable warnings that not every head unit is compatible, whereas this claims to be plug and play. Big deal to me when I was considering purchasing. I literally bought a used OEM and realized that yeah... This isn't compatible so something plug and play is pretty much necessary. My specific model of unit didn't have any replacements anywhere!! Every single unit was a different model. I guess I have a rare OEM. Even the closest one I could find was one digit off. I have a '13 Camry XLE and after taking it all apart I can guess why. It had what seems to be an amplifier that probably doesn't come with every model. After taking the brackets and adding it to the new Dasaita, plugging everything in, DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR TRIM BACK ON! This is why...I read one guy's comment on here that said everything but the stock camera works. That became one of my biggest fears because that's one of the main reasons I replacing the original as I punched out the screen (really dumb, I know). Well there are two video cables that end up going into this unit and when I first kicked it into reverse, the back up cam didn't work. So I lifted the 2 video cables and swapped the connections. Kicked it into reverse and BAM! It worked! Ok so now at this point I put all my trim back. I've had this for about 2 or 3 weeks at this point. I love it. I wouldn't want to go back. I have an apple phone and this thing has a version of apple car play that runs through some app called ZLink. I like it! It gives your map and your audio on one nicely organized page. You get access to some useful apps to not need to use your phone while driving, not to mention Siri functionality. This unit gave me actual functionality on my center button on the left steering wheel button cluster. On the OEM for whatever reason, that center button had no use. It annoyed me. I always thought it would be a good play/pause button. This unit made it that! But, it also flipped my fastfoward and rewind buttons. So now the up arrow is rewind and the down arrow is fastfoward... Idk why and it isn't the end of the world so whatever. I would say buy this thing if you're on the fence. I don't know why a lot of people are saying it doesn't fit well, for me it does. I guess you just need to place the brackets in right. (That reminds me, I DID need to create my own holes on the unit as it didn't have any holes that lined up with my brackets. Be careful when doing this but it's pretty easy because you're using a throw away screw to screw into a small hole and open it up). This unit has worked wonders for me and it has the ability to play videos I've seen on YouTube. I just have yet to play with it and figure it out with my devices. I'll eventually figure that out but that's a bonus because I wasn't even looking for that. ... show more

I was reluctant to buy this off brand from China, but boy was I glad I got this for my Camry SE for $550. Other brands was charging $1300-$1500 for the size alone. This unit improved my car sound and as for installation, I admit, it was fairly easy for a first timer like me. I had to you tube how to remove harness from my car and from that, it was a simple swap. There are some issues and I did expect them. Some of the pre-installed maps are off in terms of mileage. Speed limit says 65, but tends to be off by 5 miles up or down. This doesn’t happen often, but 1/25 times it’s not up to date I recommend using mirror link mode and use your phone map for precise speed limit. A few times, the linking between phone and car gets stuck on loading when you turn on your car. I simply turned off my car and restarted it to get it working again. Other then these problems, it was worth saving $1k for it. The 10 inch screen is a beauty. One last thing, I bought a Galaxy Tab A 10.1 inch screen protector for it. Think of this more as a android tablet with a radio app, and other oddball apps, Google maps, and Android Auto/Apple ... than a real head unit for a modern car. While it technically works... - Gps goes haywire when at a stop. It doesn't know that it's in a car and there's a high probability that the car didn't just do a instantaneous 180 degree rotation. - The audio volume is really loud for the am/fm radio portion and that sucks. If you listen to Bluetooth, and get the volume to a comfortable level, well when you go back to the radio it is literally blaring it sounds way above what you set for Bluetooth. - It doesn't handle daylight/nighttime modes well since the car has daytime running lights. This thing only thinks it's night of the lights are on vs. knowing what time it is like your phone. And daytime light apparently means night... - USB ports are great but.. they can't charge the device attached. So my phone drains over time if Android Auto is used. When it isn't used it barely charges. I have to use a separate charger for the phone because of this issue - It doesn't remember the radio station frequency after your turn off the car. It sometimes does so it's just real odd. Other apps remember things just fine so it's weird - it had a navigation app that wasn't bad on the unit which was good when you don't have your phone and internet but the last update to Vivid removed it and I can't figure out how to get it back. Sure you can use Google maps but it's useless unless you have a hotspot running providing Internet. Google maps sucks offline. I can overcome many of the issues by using Android Auto but at the same time you trade one set of problems on the unit to problems with Android Auto. So does it work. Technically mostly yes. Is it a tightly integrated well engineered software/hardware experience like a Kenwood? Absolutely not. If I could adjust the radio volume bias, get gps to chill out a bit, and get the day/night mode to operate by time it would really help the experience. Hope this helps. ... show more

Unit is fully operational and I was happy that I didn’t have to pull it back and ship back because something doesn’t work. However the fit and trim materials can be better for 573$. There are visible gaps between pieces. They are not big but noticeable as you can see on pictures. If this is something that you can’t tolerate this may not be a good unit for you. I’m very happy with unit functionality and these gaps are not big issue for me personally. Also I still haven’t figured out why male USB cable is needed. Installing it is as easy as knowing how to remove everything , I had to YouTube it and it took me a while . Other than that I liked it , blocks the hazard light like halfway.
