  • Everything you need is included
Color: alto sax cork replacement kit
I was very pleased with this product. My daughter is a first year saxophone player and I've never replaced a cork before. Everything you need to replace the cork is included. There are written instructions, but I chose to watch an online video as well to see the process before beginning.

  • Nice kit
Color: soprano sax cork replacement kit
This has everything you need to change your saxophone cork. The cork they use is good cork too, the same as what the instrument has. Make sure to wet it before wrapping it around the instrument though, otherwise, it might break. The glue looks like contact cement, which is the proper adhesive to use for installing cork. Make sure to apply the glue first to the instrument, then the cork. Then install it and tie it up with string. they include some cork grease as well, which you should be using for all the cork on your instruments. I use the extra cork sheet to refinish the cork on my clarinet so it works well for that too. ... show more

  • Pretty self explained.
Color: tenor sax cork replacement kit
I found it easy to install. I am pretty handy myself and was pretty simple..it seems to be holding up pretty well. My tenor sax is now sounding much better without the obvious leak in neck.

  • Nice cork pieces, everything else is junk
Color: tenor sax cork replacement kit
The cork slabs are very nice, just the right size and work really well. The instructions say to leave the glued and wrapped cork to cure for 12 hours, but I let it cure for a full 24 hours before sanding. Everything was going fine, I got the cork to the right size, and the first time I mounted a mouthpiece the cork broke into about 5 or 6 pieces because the glue hadn't set! Wasted one good cork slab. The glue is absolute garbage - throw it away and use a good quality contact cement. The little knife thing is a joke and is cute but worthless. The sandpaper is fair, but tears easily. I suggest putting a piece of packing tape on the back of the sandpaper, and then cut it into two thinner strips. Makes sanding so much easier. The shoelace worked to wrap the cork onto the neck while the glue dries, but it tends to adhere to any little, tiny bit of glue that may have worked its way to the other side of the cork and tends to pull the cork off when removed. I would buy the cork slabs, but everything else in the kit is just a waste of money. ... show more

  • Good replacement piece for sax mouth piece
Color: alto sax cork replacement kit
I had an old saxophone that needed the cork replaced. This was perfect. It comes with everything you need and the instructions help you understand how to replace the parts. It's a good buy.

  • Wouldn’t trust my son to execute
Color: alto sax cork replacement kit
I’m not sure what I thought I was getting, but there is no way that my son, nor myself, could do this with confidence. Five stars because I won’t attempt and anything less wouldn’t be fair. Probably a 3 star item, due to difficulty.

  • Appears to be a complete kit
Color: alto sax cork replacement kit
This kit seems to have all the pieces needed for repair. It even comes with a little mini box cutter, sandpaper, and shoelace to tie it until it dries. I like that it comes with 2 corks in case you mess up on the first one. That said, the written directions are strangely written and a bit hard to understand, and as an engineer, I don't usually have challenges following directions. I could guess what they mean, but this one is going to require a bit of research and some youtube videos to make sure it gets done right. ... show more
