After I get rid of the hard to pull rubber tube it came with I take a flat band .8mm and use electrical tape to secure it to the arms of the slingshot- so easy to pull and yet powerful enough to kill a rat or a rattler at 15 feet - also smash pop cans at 40 feet- again light pull bands are fun to shoot not those heavy tube bands- great hack for this sling shot ... show more

we feed the nice birds like finches robins cardinals. but the mean grackles crowd out the nice birds and are bullies after a few weeks of messing around with this, can get nuisance birds out to 20ft with 5/16 steel balls. they probably would die eventually but quickly finish the job with a stick At 40ft I can get consistently a few inches away from the target. Not sure if the ball would have enough power to disable the bird at 40ft. Maybe 3/8" steel ball would be better at 40ft. But the bigger the ball the further it will go beyond your target so think about what's behind After 10 weeks, rabbit at 40ft! practice makes perfect ... show more

Well made slingshot with wrist protector. I use it to shoot pea gravel at squirrels. They terrorize my bird feeders. It's just a slingshot , so hard to aim, but a projectile can still get distance. And for those wondering, I've hit a few. It doesn't kill them, just stuns. In other words, if hit with a projectile with this, it may leave a mark, but not powerful enough to even knock out a squirrel. ... show more

Well, I used it for the latter, and it works great. Lowes sells surgical tubing, I would get some. Don't know for a fact but I think my one was sitting around for awhile. I see small checking in the tubing when I pull it back. At the price I am 100% happy.
