I spend an unreasonable amount of time researching just about anything and everything I purchase. I have been looking into comforters for months and had a long list of criteria (no down, cotton cover, king, machine washable, all-season). This one seemed to fit all the checkmarks and was a reasonable price so I decided to take a chance. I went with a king for our queen-sized bed just to give more coverage and I am glad I did. It's a great fit (especially when my husband likes to roll and pull) and gives a nice look for our bed. As for the weight, it has been perfect for our chilly to cold nights so far during late winter, but may prove to be a bit warm for the summer. I tend to sleep cold so I might not mind as much as my husband who sleeps hot. I have yet to launder it, but I did place in the dryer upon unpacking to fluff and it fit just fine in my standard dryer. The cotton cover is soft, however I did purchase a cotton duvet cover to help keep it protected. The corner loops worked great with the ties on the cover and it has not slipped or budged. This is an amazing buy! The cover is 100% cotton. It's very soft against the skin. It is super lightweight and comfortable to sleep under. I washed it when it arrived. It fit great in my large home washer and it dried in 2 low cycles in my home dryer. It fluffed up beautifully. A small amount of the microfiber fill did bunch. Personally, I've never had a microfiber filled comforter that this did not happen to, so I'm not disappointed. It does not affect the look or wear of the comforter. I'm very tempted to buy a second one of these and put it away to use once this one wears out. I can't attest to how long this will last, since I just got it, but it looks and feels very well made and I expect it will last several years. Arrived in 1 day on Oct 14th. Got great price on Prime day (patting self on back) & Out of the really great protective packaging upon initial inspection and placement on my bed I really REALLY love this blanket!! I wanted a white DAB that's 100% soft cotton shell and lightweight enough to add a blanket to in the winter and cool enough to just use with a sheet with in the summer. I love it so much I will probably buy a backup as I know how it is to find a fav down alternative blanket and NOT be able to buy again ( like the Eddie Bauer Home 2005 DAB I bought at home goods & STILL LOVE ) I will update this review along the way if the blankets fill bunches or if it has any other issues. PS if you're looking for a fluffy fuller type of DAB then look at Home goids for one by Hotel Collection for about $50-$60 They ALWAYS have all season DAB's or buy one with a medium weight or highter. Love the softness and snugglablity ratio of this comforter. I've been looking for a new comforter for several years now and been disappointed by ones that snag, fall apart in the wash, are way too hot, too satin. This one is PERFECT! I cannot believe the price! I am purchasing a backup one now. Lmao My only issue is keeping my cat off of it. <.> It's been bleached, dried several times and it's perfect! I've tried several duvet inserts that are alternative material ( I'm allergic to down duvets) and most end up being way too hot and suffocating. I know cotton breathes better and thus bought this one and it really makes all the difference. This is the perfect winter duvet. I run cold and it's 18 f in winter here and it keeps me nice and toasty. I think it would be a little warm for summer but it feels well made, most people get two anyways to swap out. I bought the heavy weight one first and fell in love. We live in a cold climate and this is definitely heavy and keeps you warm. Because it’s so nice for winter, I figure it will be too warm for summer time, so we also bought a second one in the lightweight style. We are really happy with both purchases.
