This is NOT an o-ring / x-ring chain. Just split the chain to install and no rubber o-rings. Should have read the reviews more closely. Wasted $$ down the drain - and should have just stick with the old chain. Since the bike is now out of service, (old chain cut, new chain needed to ride the bike, will keep the product but again disappointed with online vendors in general). ... show more

Replaced the rusty-ass chain that was on my 2003 KDX 200 with a new DID chain. It was the 520DZ2 Gold. Non O-ring type. The DID is much better quality and looks much fancier than the Chinese knockoff brands I tried first. The DID is also far thinner and lighter than the Chinese chains, making it fit real nice in the chain slider, and giving you more power too. The DID chain is at least 1.5 pounds lighter weight than the Niche and RK Racing chain, which will significantly reduce the rotational inertia, giving more power. In other words the Chinese brands weigh 50% more than this chain. That is a noticeable difference if your engine isn't that powerful. The non O-ring design makes it perfectly flexible too, unlike the stiff-ass O-ring chains. This also gives you more power. I really like the DID 520DZ chain. It was only $50 too, which is more than Chinese brands but less than half the price of a really fancy chain from DID or Renthal or other American brands. Nice shiny, gold, premium finish to the links too. I will definitely be buying only DID chains from now on. Great value and OEM fitment. ... show more

I purchased two of these chains thinking it was an o-ring chain. Look at the master link picture in the advertisement, it clearly shows o-rings and the reason I purchased. Come to find out, this is a cheaply made, overpriced, non-o-ring, standard chain that is garbage! Don't waste your money nor your time dealing with scam artist!!! ... show more

I bought my first one of these when I got a 300 cc bike that had been sitting and needed tlc. Put it on and not even a day later it needed adjusting. (Of course it's normal) but as the other links would stretch, the master link is making the chain tight and loose when it goes around the sprockets and so the chain wore out VERY quick. I figured I needed to replace everything new when the master link GAVE OUT WHILE I WAS RIDING. Caused damage to my speed sensor and the brace holding it in place as well as my bikes neutral indicator. Bought another one after replacing tires chain and sprockets. The same thing happened and I was worried the entire time on the 1,000 mile trip I took that it was going to give at any moment. My bike is disgusting with all the red dust coming from the chain even when properly lubed every tank of gas. I still have both chains and will be taking the current one off once the new one gets here. ... show more

I was looking for a lightweight 520 chain. This is a little heavier than I would have liked but it's a nice chain. I didn't want an o or x ring. (Nowhere does it say o or x.) It's going on a 280cc.
