I like that this craft comes with everything you need to make it. The large paper flowerpot can be folded to stand up or can be used flat as a greeting card (no envelopes included). The flowers are easy to separate and there is 1/2 page of glue dots to use per pot. The glue dots work easiest if you remove the clear cover and stick the flowers directly on the glue dots. You can also peel them off, but they won't be as flat. This is a great activity for 2-year-olds with help, or 3-5 years old who can work more independently.     • Cute, but text and sticky dots are suboptimal
I got this thinking it would be fun to bring to my son's preschool, either as a craft to do together or for him to give out on Valentine's Day. The set includes everything you need to make 28 of these cards. For each card there are 6 flowers to choose from and 4 stems, so everyone can make theirs a bit different (you could also use the extra flowers lower if you want to use them all). There are 10 adhesive dots per person, so more than enough even if a couple get wasted. Overall these are cute cards, but possibly a bit frustrating for kids to use. I could imagine using them for Valentine's day, Mother's Day, or just a fun spring craft. Although this kit is cute and mostly appropriate for 3-7 year olds, I had two main complaints. One is that there is writing about how to fold the card, which is printed directly on the card and visible/facing out when the card is assembled. This doesn't look great. I wish it were either printed in a more inconspicuous area, or even better on a handout or on the border of the paper where the flowers get punched out. I don't even think the instructions are needed, as there's also text that says "adhesive area" which I think is probably obvious enough for how to fold/use it (those words get covered up when you fold and connect it, so that is good). The other is the adhesive dots. They are super sticky and stuck on my fingers in a way that would probably be pretty annoying for the age range that would find this craft interesting. Also, they were too wide for the flower stems, which meant that unless you ripped them or balled them up, they extend past the width of the stem. This would be a problem if, for example, you put this in your backpack or a folder to take home, and they would all stick to each other or to the kid's homework or other things. I wish that the adhesive dots were just the right size for the stem, or that the ends of the stems had a circle or something wider to adhere on. And the adhesive could've been a bit less sticky. I think it honestly might just be easier to assemble with a bit of single-sided tape instead. ... show more

This is a wonderful greeting card! It is so fun to put together. And easy, too! The stick-um dots work perfectly to attach flowers to petals and close the back of yellow stand (so it will form a stand/vase). Little hands can definitely do this project: 3 years and up. Under 5 years need help to keep stick-um dots from attaching to their fingers. Older children will have no problem with this craft, once they are shown the easy steps. Very creative. As an adult I will use this for May Day greetings, on May 1st. This is just an excellent greeting card for any holiday or Hello. ... show more

    • CUTE VALENTINE’S DAY CRAFT WITH SOME FLAWS
I made one myself for purposes of this review, although we do plan to use them with a group of kids. Basically, you fold the base and connect it. Then you punch out the flowers and connect them to the stems. You add the heart to the pot. You are on your own when it comes to any and all writing. Everything is done using glue dots, and they are particularly sloppy ones. They are also larger than they need to be. The glue dots were not the best experience, and I can virtually guarantee that someone is going to rip their flowers while removing them from their card. The punch outs could be a bit better. Great class set, good for Valentines, but we are using for Mother's day. Love that all the supplies are there and can be portioned out for each student.
