One of my hobbies is HO slot cars and many of them are 45-60 years old. As such, they can have a lot of dirt, grime, and oxidation on them depending on how they were used and stored. I bought a lot of 9 chassis on eBay and the seller said 4 were running. I got 2 more running with some cleaning, but the last three were in sad shape. I got this ultrasonic cleaner to help take away 40+ years of filth. The first pic is how they started out. The second is after one 5.5 min bath. The third is after a second 5.5 min bath. The last pick is all 9 chassis and the 3 that were in the ultrasonic cleaner are in the top right. With a couple of Dremel bits, i was able to get them shiny and new looking, and most of all running nicely. I recommend this to anyone who needs to clean/degrease stuff that has been sitting for years. The solution is mostly water plus splash of Simple Green Pro HD liquid. ... show more

I use this to clean stones between polishing stages. It works well for this purpose. Only downside is that I have no idea what the two little lights on the front represent. They’re labeled with a letter and number, but there’s no button that affects either one.

Quick tip: keep the machine clean so you don't have to clean it by putting whatever it is in a ziploc bag and fill it with whatever solution (degreaser, dish soap, mouthwash if you want to sanitize) and put your item in the bag. put the bag in the machine and fill the machine with clean water and turn it on with the bag open. Also, make sure you use the 10 minute or more setting if you want a good clean because it basically does nothing anything below 5 minutes. I use this machine for cleaning chains and cassettes from bicycles. I bought the 0.8L model and it easily fits a chain and a 42t cassette. Any bigger cassette I run a seperate cycle. ... show more

I bought this to clean flux off of PCBs. To use it, I fill it about halfway with rubbing alcohol (just the normal stuff from the grocery store, 91% isopropyl alcohol), drop in a board, and set it for five minutes. If the flux is still wet then it all comes off perfectly. With older boards where the flux is a bit gooey (made before I bought this, initially cleaned with a toothbrush like a pleb) it will still come off but may take 2-3 cycles. Under a microscope everything looks perfect though. You'll also want a funnel to put the alcohol back in the bottle (if you leave it in the machine it'll evaporate), but other than that, the machine is small and easy to store, and uses a standard power cable so you don't need to store the cable with the machine. Fairly quiet, and does a great job cleaning jewelry and other items. I usually run mine for the full 30 minutes to get everything very clean, with water and a cap of concentrated jewelry cleaner. I specifically also use it for watch parts to remove the old oil. Easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of space. Feels very well made for the price ... show more
