  • Good Budget Scope
Style: Red Laser
I paid a fraction for this one than what I would for other brands. It has nice features, and it seems to work well. I spent some time zeroing, and I was able to get it very close. This could be a combination of using a budget rifle with a budget scope with budget ammo with a budget sportsman. I really can't give it a bad rating. It installed easily, and it was super easy to adjust. The lights and the laser pointer were nice added features. ... show more

  • Good scope for price point
Style: Red Laser
Got this to try out on a 7.62x39 AR upper (16"). I was not expecting much, honestly, but wanted to see how well the upper worked and planned to use this as a testing platform, since it was the right configuration (excepting the laser on the side) and right price. Mounted and zeroed, I was surprised by the clarity of the scope and the quality of the build. It is not as good as the SIG tactical my brother has, nor as my Bushnell and Leupold offerings, but it is also a fraction of the cost of those, more compact, and perfectly suited to my needs for this project. After five rounds of zeroing, I was busting soda cans at 60y every time as long as I didn't rush things. A couple of things about this scope that I feel I have to mention: First, the laser. Couldn't pick it up cleanly at 60y in daylight. It is red, not very strong and is so far off axis, it is only going to be a close-range deal. Some would say that is what it is there for, but with a rifle, it is already point-and-shoot inside 20 yards anyway, and that laser is just going to get in your way. That is my opinion of it anyway - other may have different. Second is that the turrets do not have very good tactile, audible or visual feedback when turning. The windage just BARELY clicked when turning it and I had to struggle to feel any type of tactile indicator for clicks, while the elevation was a bit louder with clicks, but didn't seem to have any feel of the clicks. Neither turret had any useful indicator marks for come-up or come-down to indicate how much spin was on the barrels. That being said, I did not expect much at this price point and this scope impressed me. I shot 80 rounds through it the first day, at ranges from 20y to 150y. The scope remained steady, consistent and proficient within those ranges and round-count. I inspected the scope mount after I finished shooting, and the mount was still tight and torqued to spec (I use blue loc-tite when mounting my optics to avoid them vibrating loose or being loosened due to other field events). Would I buy this again? Absolutely. In fact, considering this for my .300 BLK upper to free up the Bushnell on it for use on my next rifle. ... show more

  • Easy to use, accurate too
Style: Green Laser
My favorite scope now for my air rifle. Very easy to mount, easy to zero in crosshairs, and the green laser is right on once you sight it in properly. I almost want to send back most of the other scopes I bought. This is the scope I’m going to get for all my rifles from now on. The price is also very reasonable. ... show more

  • Perfect scope
Style: Red Laser
Bought this scope for my AR-15 . Makes my gun look awesome. Easy to setup and love the laser on it . Perfect shot every time it’s worth the money to buy and it’s a good quality heavy scope . Does not look cheap

  • It’s a good scope but it isn’t more than 5x magnification at most
Style: Red Laser
The image is very clear, the laser is fine, the reticle lights up red or green, but the magnification is not 10x. It says 2.5-10x magnification. At 2.5x it actually looks like a 1:1 sight with a cross hair. At “10x” it looks about the same magnification as my 4x scope. Definitely not 10x. I don’t know if I got a defective scope or if they’re all like this from this brand. Edit: a couple days after writing this review, CVLife contacted me and apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a refund. They also told me they’d be contacting quality control to handle the matter. So for that reason I’ve bumped up my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars because I really appreciate good customer service. It seems like I just happened to get a bad scope, maybe it was missing a lense. ... show more

  • It’s good for the price
Style: Green Laser
I put it on a crossbow. It works really well for short range, shooting hundred yards or less looks like it could fog up easily lasers a little weak.

  • HAVE NOT TESTED FIRING
Style: Green Laser
Overall quality is solid given the price point. The glass has some reflection in bright conditions however isn’t a high end optic. The laser is very bright, shines well over the half mile field next to my house. Crosshairs are clear, and the interior lighting is sufficient. Remains to be seen how well it’ll hold a zero on my 5.56 but for the price, if I can hit a coffee mug at 100, it would be worth it. Given the price tag, and assuming it holds it’s zero, I’d give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Money down the drain
Style: Red Laser
I bought this scope with low expectation given its price ($50), but thought it might do the job (to some degree at least) for using on 9mm carbine for CQB training but it was worse than I expected. Here is my take on it: Firstly, the turrets are supposed to be 1/4 MOA per click, mine was 1 MOA per click which made accuracy/adjustment very difficult, but to be fair the reticle did look good :) Secondly, I question the magnification on the scope, at 10x it was no better than a 6x on my other scopes. Thirdly, once you adjusted the focus (using reticles as your guide) you end up losing focus on the target and you will have to readjust the focus to find a happy median between the two. Fourthly, the illumination (red on mine) tends to reflect off the inside walls of the tube beyond the 3rd level, thus creating the feel you are the red light district in Amsterdam. Fifth, the laser is a joke, you don't get a clear conscious dot but a red crescent instead. Lastly, built quality is ok at best but given the above issues quality becomes irrelevant. The only good aspect is that the scope would make a good looking accessory (useless nonetheless) on carbines or ARs and that's why it secured a 1 star rating, only due to its looks. This product is a clear example of the saying ''you pay peanuts, you get monkeys'' I have read reviews on the CVLIFE that describe it as a great little economy scope and works tremendously well, my guess is those who arrived at such conclusion never used a scope before ;) My advice is save your money and get a real scope. ... show more
