These shelf supports could be better described. The wight claim is not properly represented. One of the commenters realized the the claimed weight capacity is only at the vertical attachment to the fixed support. At the end of the support bar it is much less. Very sturdy! I ordered the white, 18" folding bracket set. I used my own drywall anchors instead of the included ones. The only difficulties I had were not related to the brackets, but were simply because of my own inexperience and lack of proper tools to figure out where the studs were and other issues with the wall. I could have paid my handyman $100 to come out and do it properly, but in the interest of time and money I did it myself, and I'm decently pleased with the result. I can always have someone re-hang them later if I decide that I want it to be "perfect." The brackets look nice and appear to have a solid baked enamel-type finish. They are bright and the painted finish seems perfect. The folding mechanisms work perfectly. I have no concerns about their ability to hold the weight of the items I am storing on the brackets (which is about 12 pounds.) ... show more

I ordered these brackets to support an outfeed table that planned to build as a folding extension to my table saw. They came in different sizes/lengths and although I could have used longer ones, I wasn't willing to wait the extra time to receive them. I ended up buying the 18" length for a table that was to be almost 30" long and they worked great. Once installed on my table saw and the plywood top they were surprising solid. Much more so than I had expected. They were only 18" long to support a 40" x 30" table but are rock solid. Seriously, very solid. So, if you're looking for a set of locking, folding shelf brackets, I can't imagine doing any better than these. And they're not a fortune. Big win for me ... show more

These are very sturdy and operate smoothly. The mechanism to fold is easy to get to because it extends out to the end of the bracket unlike some others that you have to reach under the shelf for. Comes with screws for install. Shipping packaging is flimsy, paper shipping envelope isn't sturdy enough for these heavy-duty brackets. It arrived all torn up and taped together.
