I ordered this finishing oil to use on my cutting boards. It works well and has a good smell. However, I think that for the oz that comes in the bottle, it's expensive. I like it but I wouldn't order it again.

    • Seems good, but it's on the expensive side
OK, it works, I guess. I applied it to one of my bamboo cutting boards, and the wood quickly absorbed it. Hence, I believe it will do its job protecting it. The scent is nice. I got this on Vine and wanted to give it a try. Will I buy it again? Not sure yet. It's more expensive than other oils I have bought in the past. I will try it on a serving board, which is a darker color and shows some signs of wear. For now, this oil gets four stars -- I will likely get back in a few days should I need to revise this review up or down (if I don't get back, it's because it deserved the four stars). ... show more

I like that this wood polishing oil was natural . It did moisturize my wood cutting boards .

I used this on a newly engraved cutting board. It works well and slightly shines the wood, it did darken the wood a bit, but seems like it would protect both new and already used boards.

    • Bit flimsy. The finishing oil is fine but not as good as high quality mineral oil
Over the years, I've had quite a number of cutting boards. Using mineral oil will keep a high quality cutting board in peak condition for years, if not decades. Even under heavy use. These cutting boards are somewhat lame for actual cutting work. I think they're more appropriate for charcuterie and cheese boards and such. Which is fine. The finishing oil seems to leave too much residue behind even when using a very, very thin layer. ... show more

No odor and absorbs well on a wood cutting board. Be sure to use a board conditioner afterwards to seal the board after oiling

    • Works but Pricey
This oil has a nice smell and was easily absorbed by the olive wood handles on my knives. Price is high compared to comparable wood preservation oils you can find on Amazon.
