The Cuisinart pizza prep and serve set has everything we need to make and serve a pizza. Most of the time, these things are sold individually. Everything looks like it's made well. I use this pizza set to have fun in the kitchen with my son. The silicone mat that doesn't stick is a great thing to have so that the dough doesn't get all over the bar. The roller makes it easy for my boy to shape the pizza. The pizza is then put on the wood board and some cheese is sprinkled on top. They are also easy to clean. A few years ago, I got an outdoor pizza oven as a birthday gift. Honestly, there is no comparison between pizza you make fresh and frozen pizzas. I'm a baker, and so I enjoy making the pizza dough and choosing toppings. I already have some of the items that are in this kit, but it's nice to have a set that I can dedicate to pizza making. The roller is a better size for making pizzas (my oven holds 12" pizzas) than a standard rolling pin, the silicone mat is printed with guides for making differently-sized pizzas, and the dough cutter is sharp and works well. The real standout here is the pizza peel. I usually use a metal peel. While it works, I've found that heavier pizzas often stick to the peel, making it hard to get them into the oven. If you try to add corn meal to a metal pizza peel, it just rolls off. This wooden peel, though, holds onto the corn meal. It also provides a great surface for assembling the pizza. My husband makes the best pizza ever, but was once traumatized by it (it’s a running joke around here). Still, the man is a trooper and took one for the team to try this set. He has now dubbed himself our home pizza chef. Here’s his review : At my last full-time job, I was hired as a manager by a large grocery chain, but my assignment was essentially to be my location’s pizza chef. It was a job I’d never done before, but I like to cook and I love customer service. Soon I was making pizzas, hot sandwiches and calzones for customer order, all while keeping a hot line stocked with delicious slices. I kept my station clean, cooked quickly and accurately and got rave reviews from my regular customers. I even took inventory of the department, discarded unused equipment and put in work orders for fan hoods and dough mixers that weren’t working properly. Profits were up and my station had become the jewel of the store. So what did management do? They cut my labor hours so I rarely had an assistant. I dehydrated myself on purpose because I didn’t have time to go to the bathroom, and often didn’t get even a 15-minute break until 7 hours into my shift. One day, stressed out and pulled in six different directions, I burned a pizza…pitch black like a hockey puck. Forgot it was in the oven. Three different higher-ups called me into their offices and made me stand there while delivering a humiliating lecture about my performance. For the next three weeks, they continued to heckle me about the burned pizza. Every time a manager walked by, they’d yell “hope you’re not burning any pizzas today!” and cackle. Finally one day I quit mid-shift and spent the rest of the day drinking scotch, but that’s another story. Since that day, my friends and family have been concerned that whenever someone says “let’s order a pizza” I practically jump out the nearest window. I can’t watch sports any more because there are too many pizza ads and my wife is afraid I’ll break the tv. Clasping my hands tenderly, she finally told me, “honey, we’ll get through this together.” She started drawing little cartoon pizzas on napkins and envelopes around the house. When I could see them without barking an expletive, she started drawing bigger ones. Finally she got a big canvas and made a huge oil painting of a pizza, hanging it in the living room. Today a package arrived. It was this pizza-making kit. It took me two hours to open it, but I finally broke the seal on the box and gripped the handle of the pizza cutter, watching the clinically-sharp steel blade glinting in our kitchen lights. I caressed the natural wood of the peel, and unrolled the rubber mat. Tonight, I will hand-toss dough. Tonight, I will grate mozzarella by hand. I will roll chunks of roasted chicken in buffalo sauce, and heat the oven to 400 degrees. Tonight, I am free. Update: the pizza was great! My only complaint is the screws that attach the handle to the peel. They’re really small and somewhat hard to drive. Once they were in, the handle became wobbly after a single use, and I had to retighten them. I hope this isn’t an ongoing issue. ... show more

This is really a great set of accessories if you are into making homemade pizzas or just getting started. They are all of good quality. The only item that doesn’t meet my standards is the little rolling pin, due to the fact that is not very ergonomic or comfortable to hold. I have no issues with any of the other items. The silicone mat is really what sold me on the set. It is great to knead and roll your dough on, is easy to clean and sticks well to my granite counter with no sliding. The dough cutter works well in cutting my dough in half as I make 2 pizzas from the dough I make. The wooden peel is also very solid and a perfect size for my needs. I don’t use pizzas cutters as they can scratch my pizza pans, but it looks capable of doing a good job. ... show more

This is a great starter kit for getting your at-home pizza game going. Love the portioning mat for dough. Takes some of the guess work out of it. Rollers work great and the peel is sufficient. I have no complaints about this kit!
