I bought this desk for my sons room. I think it will be sturdy for him. I am excited for the bookshelf under the desk. I gave 4 stars because it came damaged. Not terrible, just enough to be noticeable. I don’t know how that part of the desktop will hold up as it feels like it will flake off.

I last minute opted for the brown with the woodgrain look. It actually looks nicer than I thought it would. The instructions for which size screws to use could have been better. I assemble a lot of stuff and definitely struggled to figure out which screws (with the extras) I was supposed to use. My desk did arrive damaged. I would say it was just part of the shipping process. There were protective components to the packaging so it wasn't for lack of trying. The corner arrived broken off though. Thankfully I was able to order some desk corners covers for $5 to put over it so you don't notice. It's working well for holding my two large monitors up higher so I can have my laptop on the main level. You may still want a cords box to hide them in, but I still like the desk for doing my design work. ... show more

I didn't have high expectations for this desk, considering it cost less than $100, but I am so impressed with the quality. It was packaged well, even though the outer box did get banged up and torn in transit, but that's not the manufacturer's fault. Despite the tattered shipping box, all the pieces arrived intact, scratch free, and the manufacturer tied the numerically organized bag of screws and pieces so that it wouldn't get separated in transit. The pieces were all clearly labeled, the instructions were easy to follow, and this desk was assembled in less than an hour by myself. I fully expected to have some frustrations when putting it together because it was so cheap, but it came together effortlessly. Each hole lined up exactly where it needed to be, none of the screws were difficult to turn, none of the wood split, and they even include and extra screw if each type just in case you misplace one whole assembling. As for the desk itself, it feels very sturdy and I know I'll enjoy using this to work from home. I'll definitely be ordering from this company again. ... show more
