Item came nicely packaged with easy instructions. This was easy to install in my outdoor fish pond. However, the air lines wanted to float so I had to weigh them down with light rocks and zip tied hose’s together where they shared a pathway to consolidate hoses near each other. One of my check valves was not working by not allowing air to pass through it and through the air stone, so I messaged the seller. I waited several days with no reply and then called Amazon customer service. They could not send me just the air check valve and instead sent me the entire unit again for a replacement. I took out what I needed and returned the package. Seemed like overkill, but end result is that now all 4 air lines are producing air bubbles as designed. I’d recommend this unit. Works well. I didn’t rate the longevity because I’ve only had it working for a week or so now. I hope this will last a few years at least. Some reviews complained about noise, but I find it to be fairly quiet. I've been using this for over a year and a half with the original air stones and tubing. Mostly no issues. The tubing pops loose every few months, possibly related to the outdoor heat, but it hasn't bothered me too much. I purchased this pump to replace a functional, but noisy pump. I keep my pump indoors and run air lines out to the pond and the old pump sounded like the buzz of fluorescent lights!! This pump is nearly silent. Puts out a nice amount of air with the two included air stones and the adjustable output is a nice feature as well. This provides enough air for our pond (with the air stones on the bottom) that is approx. 16'L x 3'W x 3'D - around 750 gallons. ... show more

The temperatures in Utah have been in the upper 90's and the Koi fish didn't seem to have a lot of energy. I decided to give this brand a try after reading reviews on other brands. After having the system in the pond for just for just one day, it was amazing of how the fish responded. It is now day three and the fish are active in the heat of the day and loving life. My pond has always been clear, but it's strarting to look cleaner. Seriouly, the best purchase I've ever made! I also purchased the artificial rock cove at the same time as a package deal and the cover works great, even though it's hidden behind tall grass. I placed the unit on a flat stone with the cover. I’ve only had this aerator system for 4 days now. I bought it since I’ve read that regular filter pumps, fountains, and even waterfalls don’t add enough oxygen for a healthy pond and fish! It is working very well and my 2 large Koi are much more active with the extra oxygen in the water! I went on the website for this pump (crystalclearpond.com) to learn more about caring for it. If I experience any problems with it, I now know how to fix them. I know how to clean the air stones if they stop producing bubbles and how to buy and replace the diaphragm if the pump is not working as well as usual. I’m happy that this system can be repaired instead of having to buy a whole new system! Some reviewers reported that an aeration system also helped reduce algae growth. The company information says it costs only $0.29 for the electricity to run this system for a month! ... show more
