    • Was very neat - not expensive and was lots of fun!
This was very interesting to watch. The tree is basically stiff paper that mounts into a plastic base. You pour the solution into the base and the 'tree' soaks up the solution. This creates the crystals as it grows. Was very neat - not expensive and was lots of fun!

It was fun for my niece but the crystals grew pretty sparsely and looked nothing as nice as the photos. I'm glad she enjoyed the project overall.

    • Cute idea but messy
I thought this was a cute thing. But when my husband and daughter started working on it, it wasn’t as sturdy and it created a mess in the room. It bloomed for a few days then that was it. So underwhelming.

I got this gift for a friend. She set it all up, and the 'crystals' proved to be too heavy for the structure they were growing on. The tree ended up falling over and making a mess.

    • Great fun for the cheap price.
We totally didn't expect how fast this little tree would bloom! In less than an hour the tree had little pink blossoms forming! As you can see in the advertising image, the bottom forms first. Like the image, out top never fully bloomed out. The pink blossoms do fall off easily, however, we put them back in the little tray, and added more water. The fallen blossoms dissolved, and the tree bloomed more. I suggest for the prettiest, and possibly sturdiest tree, that you take the time to separate and arrange the limbs artistically. The tree lasted about two weeks before falling apart. Great fun for the cheap price. ... show more

    • Fun experiment!
I got this for my husband, who lived in Japan for a couple years and loved the cherry trees. He had some doubts that it would work, but it did! Our whole family enjoyed this little science experiment. It looked like the picture, and it was fun to see the changes.

    • Wish crystals would spread through most of tree then it would be beautiful!
We were so excited at first as the crystals at the bottom of the tree were full and beautiful just as shown in the picture but disappointed that it didn't spread to the top branches. I wish it would have spread through the entire tree as we carefully followed the instructions.
