  • Fun but challenging. Great family activity.
We did this activity with our two kids - age 11 and 13 - and it was really fun. It was pretty challenging but doable and took us about two hours. It was a little difficult for my 11-year-old, but there was still content that she could dig into and contribute on - I distributed the evidence appropriately so she could focus on the things I thought she would understand. We were super pleased and would definitely buy another. Also, the materials are fun and authentic-feeling and the online content is a good twist. It’s also a great value because as long as you don’t write on the materials - which we were careful not to do- you can package it up and share with another family. ... show more

  • Great time for a date night!
My wife has done one of those by herself before and loved it. I scooped up this one as a random happy and decided to take the journey tonight. What a great time! We talked through everything, used our smarts to eliminate suspects and had a fantastic time reading through the summary at the end. All in all a good value and amazing fun...plus we solved it on our first try! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Fun and challenging night as detectives!
I played this game with my husband and two daughters, ages 10 and 12, and although the game is rated for 14+, we had no problem playing it with our girls. We had a blast pouring through all the case files and trying to piece them all together. We’ve done one other “detective” type game and all of us preferred this one. The puzzles were challenging and we did have to use one hint, but we eventually figured it out! We will definitely be playing again, as it’s good value for the money and a fun way to spend some time using our brains together. ... show more

  • First time playing one of these games
So my thoughts are that It is fun to go through all the evidence and everything easy to comprehend on what the point of the game is in the objective is, my husband and I have a little bit of a hard time at first but we got the gist and it was worth the value for the price it cost. It did take us between an hour and a half and 2 hours just saw it like it suggests. And it was fun to play! We will definitely be getting a different one in the Future!! ... show more

  • Perfect balance of clues
I liked the balance of clues and being able to put them all together to find how they link. The game was enjoyable and in my cost range. I liked the story line and the clues to get into the police email. Not too hard and not too easy!!

  • Challenging but super fun
This was a great way for my wife and I to spend some quality time together. The evidence artifacts were well crafted and varied. From letters, to photos, to reports, to newspaper articles to going online to view emails. These touches made the story so much more realistic. This mystery was more challenging than some others we have played. We normally solve these within the suggested time frame but, took this one took a little longer than the suggested two hours. You may want to keep that in mind. We will be buying the next one from this company. ... show more

  • It's no mystery, this game was fantastic fun - Spoiler-free review
We gifted the "Murder of a Millionaire" to some close friends for Christmas. As our friends are lovers of Brit TV crime shows we figured that getting a game where the crime was located in the UK would be fitting. They loved it and immediately decided we had to play as a team. It took just under four hours for us to find the killer and we loved every minute of it. The game has paper items (crime scene photos, a local newspaper, police reports, forensic reports, etc etc) and there is also information you go online to access. We loved piecing it all together and finding alibis for the innocents among the suspects. We did use a few of the helpful hints online towards the end, not to cheat so much as to just verify that we were on the right path. We are already planning to meet up again soon (and regularly) to play another Cryptic Killers Unsolved Murder Mystery Game. We have played other brands and this company is THE BEST. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Excellent Game
This was the third or fourth one of these types of games I’ve played in the past few years and it was one of the best by far. The combination of physical and digital clues made the whole thing feel very well thought out and well rounded. Two very of us finished it in about 2 hours and it felt excellent to solve it correctly. Highly recommend and will absolutely buy another from this company! ... show more
