I purchased this case for me and my boyfriend. The packaging is so cute in my opinion. They try to make it seem authentic. The files are neat and easy to understand. I don’t know if this would be good for younger children, but teens might definitely enjoy it. We had a great time together trying to puzzle the pieces together. One of my favorite aspects was having to crack a code to get into an “email”. I would recommend this company moving forward for cases, as some others I have tried just aren’t as good. ... show more

    • Perfect activity when college age children return home!
We had a night when our two college age children returned home. We wanted something different and fun to do for a family game night. We had SO MUCH FUN! We very much appreciated the same day shipping, as we thought of the idea mid morning. We ordered pizza, had a bunch of snacks and dug in. We took our time and enjoyed and made sure everyone had a chance to see everything and debate alibis and motives. Overall It took us about 4 hours to solve, although we pretty much knew about hour 3, we just wanted more proof. We did forget, until hour 3 to use the online clues! When we did, they backed up our arguments and added more proof. Only complaint, there is one clue that we all agreed none of us would have figured out without the hints. That’s why I am giving It 4 stars. It’s simply not something you’d probably think of. We had It figured out at that point, but that clue was the final evidence needed to prove to all of us, without a doubt. After the hint and we started using the hint, honestly, It was my favorite clue and part of the puzzle to solve. Other’s are mixed in that, but I enjoyed It! My clue to all of you on that, always sing the Alphabet song! Can’t wait to order another one! We are thinking about doing another one over Christmas vacation!     • A great evening with my wife!
My wife and I have done a looooot of puzzles, escape rooms andmurder mystery parties...needless to say this is right up our alley! This case file was a ton of fun and challenging enough to keep us entertained for almost two hours! The clues were setup well and there was plenty of back and forth on whodunit. Would recommend and will be buying the other products and handing this one off to family so they can try it as well. ... show more

This is the third solve a murder game I have played, but the first by this company. I found this game more twisty than the others and thus more fun. Definitely worth the purchase!

Every Cryptic Killer case file I buy has never been boring and always keeps me guessing. Whether I’m working with friends or doing it alone, they are always so much fun. This one especially is a really good one for beginners. A lot of thought is put in to creating these case files and they are so incredibly made well. It makes me feel like a real detective anytime I do these. And they are affordable! I’m probably gonna end up buying all of them haha! ... show more
