    • A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT AMAZON KEEPS ALLOWING CRUX TO SELL FOR SOME REASON

I bought this a couple months ago for its price and small size thinking it would be great to take with me on vacation at the end of this month. WHY DIDN'T I TEST IT WHEN IT FIRST ARRIVED? I'm an idiot because I assumed there would be no problems and left it in the box. Well, fate would have it that I had to go out of town recently for a 3-day seminar, so I figured this was my chance to test it. GUESS WHAT? It leaked water EVERYWHERE! It was defective, and now I was angry! To add insult to injury, it was just past the 30-day return window, so I would out $43. Since I still needed a small, affordable Nespresso maker, I decided to immediately buy another one thinking it couldn't have the same defect. I received the unit a couple days later, and this time, I tested it immediately, and couldn't believer it...DEFECTIVE AGAIN! I WAS BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. Same problem, water poured from the bottom upon use. LISTEN UP READERS - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS THE MANUFACTURER HAS SPECIFICALLY INDICATED THAT THEY HAVE FIXED THIS ISSUE. It's a real shame because apart from the machine being incredibly loud, it would make for a really good, semi-portable machine that you can rely on when traveling and staying at hotels, or as a backup machine to a Delonghi, or even a starter machine for those who want to dip their toe into the Nespresso universe. ... show more

I am happy with this purchase. Quick instructions. I am adding because I had to review to get it right. Place coffee pod in machine and close the lid. Press the button for whatever size you select. Make the coffee, release the lever and the coffee pod will be in the bottom receptical.

I have purchased 2 Crux espresso machines of the same model. They look good out of the box but as I plugged the machine in to piqer and just ran water the machine was leaking from the middle streight down. Looked like the water line is disconnected in the middle inside the machine and not connected to the other end. Then I hooked up the second one and walla the same as the first one. What a disappointment. I was looking to use one at my business and one at home which was the thought to replace the mixpresso I purchased 3 years ago. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Functions like a similar Nespresso model. I only live here a few months a year. There was already a Keurig, which tastes very light, so adding a high pressure shot makes my cup more satisfying. Easy to clean. Easy to fill w/o removing the tank.     • First one spilled water, second one seems fine, for now

On first try, the unit spilled all the water that should have become coffee all over the counter, it appears from below the unit near a rear corner. Tried to make a second cup and it again spilled all the water of what should have become the coffee over the counter again. I opened up the unit and tried to get all the water out, let it dry for a couple of days and sent it back. I thought I'd give this company, which I'm not familiar with, a second chance so I received a second unit. I apprehensively set it up and it worked. So far it's been fine with original Nespresso capsules. This time I first ran the unit twice with just water. It helped because on the first run the water came out yellow with some specs of something, the second time it came out clear. It's winter and it's been quite cold in New England. Perhaps, during shipment, residual water in the machine froze and burst the hose or location where the water sat during shipment. Otherwise, seems quite surprising that a new unit wouldn't work, hopefully it will last. I packaged up the first unit to send back as if it were new, so you might want to skip any offers of a "like new looking" unit offered by Amazon Warehouse in case the team at Amazon that received my first unit back thought it looked fine, even though I pointed out that it didn't work. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This was my second machine the first was OK so I bought a spare since the price was right. I waited to open it and once I did it didn't work right out of the box. I wrote the company and asked for a replacement but they only offered a refund. So on the first response they wanted me to explain what happened which I did. They then wanted a 12 second video of it not working which I did. They then wanted a picture of me cutting the cord which I did. Going on two months now and still no refund. I have since ordered a different machine from a different company. I just cant understand how these roadblocks to customer satisfaction can be worth it. ... show more
